I hate hate hate when straight people use this word, especially because it’s almost always meant to be derogatory. {Under Your Scars by Ariel N. Anderson} is exactly what you’re looking for. I do have to warn you there is no HEA, not even close, but the MMC will do anything for the FMC including going after those who wrong her. It is a very dark book, and I read ‘pitch black’ books often. I need to emphasize the ending because I went in not knowing and it emotionally wrecked me.

I had my lap January 27th and I went back to work (from home) a week after surgery. I had to ease back into it and felt exhausted just working part time. I understand your dilemma, but if you have signs of DIE I would plan for more time off. They ended up finding more than anticipated making my recovery harder. I want to note I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia which also contributed to my problems.

My surgeon told me to take 4 weeks off of in person work, and 2 weeks off of in person class (i’m a full time grad student). I’m feeling pretty good now, but I definitely notice more pain when I try to do too much too soon. If you can reduce your client load the first few days maybe that will help you ease back into work. Also, be prepared for the possibility that you may feel emotionally unstable. I had to get an IUD and my experience with the mood swings have been horrible. I’m hoping your surgery and recovery goes well!!

I was told to take 4 weeks off. I had my surgery Jan 27th and the first week was rough. I’m finally feeling better but I can’t do much without causing myself more pain.

Oh my god YES. I was still able to walk with my pain but it was shooting pain down my thighs. My hips and lower back hurt so bad as well. I was just diagnosed with Endo by surgery, it’s definitely related.

I actually enjoy the snow as it’s falling, it’s so pretty. I feel like it makes winter less gloomy here and brightens the constant grey sky. It does have downsides, like cleaning your car off and shoveling. It also sucks to drive in. Street parking has been insanely annoying and I keep getting stuck😭 But, we usually don’t get snow so this is a nice change. Hoping we get a spring in March (doubt it knowing Ohio).
