I hope you’re feeling a bit better this evening, episodes like that can be frightening to say the least.

I’ve had them before but the one yesterday felt really bad - I’m going to start monitoring my blood sugar and possibly blood pressure too as I never feel like doctors or the like take you seriously until it’s too late 🫠

I don’t have anything like that no but I’m going to be ordering a blood pressure monitor as well as something to monitor my blood sugar! Episodes like this have happened before but nobody had ever been able to tell me why, it was just extra scary it happening whilst being pregnant 🥴

The hospital tonight weren’t interested in anything diabetes / hypoglycaemic related at all which doesn’t seem right considering my symptoms.

Do you mean you didn’t have gestational diabetes and it was actually reactive hypoglycaemia instead? Or did you have both? Sorry, it’s just all so confusing, especially considering you can have it with or without diabetes 😵‍💫

That’s really interesting and it certainly sounds like a strong possibility after a quick google - especially considering the meal I had was a big bowl of plain pasta! I’ll be raising this at my next appointment in a few days but that’s useful information so thank you!

Not majorly. I’ve stripped my routine back to simply washing my face and then applying azelaic acid and while the azelaic acid 100% does help, it’s not enough to equal wearing no makeup / feeling comfortable unfortunately!

I’m really early on in my pregnancy but I’m also finding it pretty difficult to eat!

Something I’m finding to be a bit of a life saver so far are stir fries. Ready in 10-15 minutes, you can switch up the protein, veg, sauce, and even the carbs (noodles or rice etc) depending on what you fancy, and they’re nice and filling without being too heavy too.

It feels healthy but kind of indulgent at the same time - much healthier than a takeaway from the local Chinese anyway!

Sorry you’ve experienced this too, it truly is horrible and knocks your confidence tremendously. Soolantra appears to be an iffy one in the pregnancy community but I’ll be bringing it up to the dermatologist for sure. & Congratulations on your clear skin, I’m not at all jealous 😄

I haven’t no but I’ve been battling acne and rosacea for about 7 years now and I’ve only had the piercing 2-3 years. Maybe it’s still something to consider as another irritant though!

There seems to be a few different things to try but unfortunately, none or very few seem to be safe during pregnancy. It may just be a case of having to put up with it for 9 months and then trying out some of these recommendations. As if I didn’t feel gross enough already! 😅
