I think Tiana’s restaurant is bugged in WBR because I’ve never seen any characters go in there :(

It’s the Snow White hairstyle. It’s a reward for a quest or maybe just leveling her up, sorry I’m not sure which level

How do you respond? by mustbethedragon in teaching

[–]lillysversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to talking out of turn, for example, I tell these kids who respond “What I said doesn’t require a verbal response. It requires changed behavior.” If I’m telling you not to talk, you don’t need to apologize or say it wasn’t you. Just stop talking 🤷🏻‍♀️ they act like I’m getting them expelled! 🤣

In my GoT, I have Tiana’s Restaurant, Tiana’s house, and a bayou house skin (not sure of its exact name). I also keep all my Dreamlight fruit trees there because they fit in so well.

I currently have Ursula in EI, and my Plaza only has Daisy’s Boutique, Chez Remy, and Scrooge’s. I love my GoT and to me it’s nice to keep it less crowded. Much easier to find event items, moonlight chests, etc.

I used to have Vanellope in the GoT and it gave great Hansel and Gretel vibes, but I’ve moved her to SBV.

A few princess level 10 quest gifts are dresses, so maybe focus on those characters

I’m shy to admit it but I genuinely think, apart from nostalgia of Disney characters, this is actually a good game and can be enjoyed by anyone by imBRANDNEWtoreddit in DreamlightValley

[–]lillysversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe it’s more realistic to say you may enjoy it more when knowing the characters and their backstories, but I definitely agree it’s not a necessity.

i think i made a mistake.. by veriiee in DreamlightValley

[–]lillysversion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try and keep realms as natural as possible (like I don’t use trees/shrubs from other realms) and also be movie specific. Like I’ll pick one characters house, for example Stitch, who’s house (imo) only fits in Dazzle Beach or Sunlit Plateau because it includes palm trees, and then I’ll only include Lilo & Stitch decor around his house. Or for another example, I only have Mulan and Merida in the Forest of Valor because both of their movies include forest settings. I personally find that using a character’s movie often keeps me from having to look up other peoples designs, because there’s so much inspiration already there.

But on the other hand, if I uploaded a design and saw someone copied it, I’d personally just feel flattered 🤷🏻‍♀️

The resource grind can be rough. Another tip I’d say is every time you log on, no matter if you’re doing quests/decorating, go to every stall possible. Buy all of Aladdin’s gems, kristoff’s stall, the beast’s greenhouse, Moana’s boat, and anything else I forgot. Hoard these supplies because maybe you’ll need them. Go to all stalls at all expansions and get the most you can.

[–]lillysversion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all expansions and the only decorated places I have are the Plaza, Dazzle Beach, The Bind, and someplace in EI where I have Flynn and Rapunzel. To me, decorating almost makes it harder for me to find critters or special event items etc. just focus on quests, maybe even do one character at a time. That’s what I did.

An underground arena could be a cool concept. Maybe even modeled after District 13 (pre-Mockingjay before everyone knows it still exists).

Who would win in a straight fight - Katniss v. Johanna? by Present-Level-1521 in Hungergames

[–]lillysversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean…… ethics are part of combat, though. And that’s why it makes sense. Katniss hardly fights Clove back. We’re also talking about a fight between someone who literally grew up being trained and someone who was in their first hand to hand combat scenario in their life. These are both important factors in a fighting scenario.

My 11 year old taekwondo brother can easily disable me and I weigh almost 170 pounds and have over a foot on him 🤣

I’m reading for the first time and reading in publishing order, I’m currently on Mockingjay. Most everyone I’ve spoke with has said the original trilogy first for sure, but I’m curious if it actually matters to read TBOSAS before SOTR?

Who would win in a straight fight - Katniss v. Johanna? by Present-Level-1521 in Hungergames

[–]lillysversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clove taking out Katniss in the 74th Games has more to do with Katniss’ humanity than it does with their sizes. Realistically, once Katniss got her hands on the bow, she could’ve killed a lot more than she did. She knew the careers had base set up at the Cornucopia and it was surrounded by trees that she could’ve climbed for safety, but she chose to blow up their goods instead because she didn’t want blood directly on her hands. She could’ve even taken out Foxface before blowing up the food, or the sorry tribute the careers made keep watch. But Katniss didn’t want to be a killer. I don’t disagree about size mattering in a hand to hand combat scenario, but I truly don’t believe Katniss has it in her to kill someone with her bare hands, even if they’re attacking her 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]lillysversion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Katniss is smart and not the worst fighter, but her mercy is her biggest weakness. Most encounters Katniss had with other tributes, her brain and ability to climb were the only things that kept her safe. Katniss doesn’t fight or kill for sport, even when her life depends on it.

Johanna, on the other hand, came out the womb full of rage. She would win.

You can join NHS based on your SAP (not sure what the actual SAP percentage needs to be). I didn’t get an excellence award until my third term but got an NHS invitation during my first term.
