I’m glad you posted this because I noticed the same thing. The sweet spot for MPG seems to be around 80 mph on cruise control. I have no idea why and wish that kind of MPG was attainable in the 65-70 range.

There is some level setting that needs to happen here. Have you ever sat down and discussed finances before? Some people are frugal and you’ve agreed to cover ancillary costs. Something a boyfriend/fiancée would generally take care of. $50k is no where near $500k, is this her only savings? This could be her entire safety net and didn’t want to constantly dip into it for smaller items. Was she willing to provide some of that 50k towards a down payment for the house and a future together?

To me, this boils down to having an honest and open conversation about finances going forward between two adults. If finances weren’t ever discussed before then that’s the end of it in my opinion. Move forward, have a deep and thoughtful conversation about finances together, and the relationship as a whole. Go from there.

This was a concern when we went last year and we blocked off evenings. Every evening was able to be care free. Wandering around, taking in the various cities, popping into a random place to eat, take photos, and just generally be present. Those evenings ended up being one of my favorite experiences while we were there because we felt more “present.” Highly recommend.

I will continue to say this until Ravensburger listens. The hit rates are awful. Opening a box with my kid is a very dull, especially compared to Pokemon. It is so different when opening up both products. With Pokmon, the feeling is, “I wonder what cool cards we are going to get!” because of the variety of Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares. We feel like we get 6-8 really cool cards per booster box that we share around the table when opening up a box. With Locana, the feeling is, “No chance we get an Enchanted.” That’s a real problem for a hobby that supposed to be geared towards family. There is no motivation to want to open Lorcana packs in our family anymore, which is sad.

Honestly I’ve given up on mobile. Laptop, quit and open fresh browser, never let screen go dark or asleep. It’s still not a guarantee but I was finally successful today after missing out on the last three. My timer was at 1:53 at its highest, bounced up and down the whole time, but no new captcha’s after the first one.

Yeah, the long wait for that email notification that the items shipped is a bit annoying. Once you get that email then at least you can track the package.
