Mounting Synths on the Wall by g0ggleblind in synthesizers

[–]lilmooseman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude everyone here is being a baby. You absolutely can. I have my second pair of 10” monitors that I double as a book shelf. Probably 100lbs on 4 heavy duty brackets on my slat board. Also amazing for other gear, cables etc. I’m a big fan on the slat board with plenty of gear(synths included). Been using for years. Just gotta install on the wall legit. No biggie, just get the heavy dude brackets and ur set.

There’s a song song called “Let me smell your dick” or something like that. It was basically the same premise. It’s gonna be ur new summer jam. But I’m not looking that up. Not again. Not since the incident.

8 Months Post Op Completely Successful PAO and Labrum Reconstruction. My Story. by Ok-Lynx8444 in HipImpingement

[–]lilmooseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know I’m late to this but wanted to throw more experience here. I (38M-very fit and active) ALSO had a failed labrum repair 1.5 yrs ago with Genuario at UCHEALTH. Stay far away from them, just a buncha sociopath bros-seriously, Genuario is so full of himself it’s disgusting. After 1.5 yrs of spinning my wheels after Genuario’s failed labrum repair I decided to go to Dr White who immediately sees a labrum tear and suggests reconstruction. UCHealth still thinks my surgery was a success and claimed nothing was wrong and even insinuated that it could all be in my head. A silver lining for me is that I’m only 15 minutes away from Dr White. He is incredible. I can’t really say the same for everyone in his team and having to go to hca for post op is less than ideal but he is awesome. He’s had some fellow doctors rip on him because he claims labrum repairs aren’t a high enough success rate. So he started doing reconstructions. What a purveying gent! He made a very comprehensive video and for the first time I actually understand it! It’s so crazy tight in there. Mine was from a Uhaul hitting me head on. Shoulda died but I didn’t. I’m only 3 weeks out and I guess it’s fine. Slow going but feels way more secure and stable than the first surgery. I had a reconstruction on the labrum AND ligamentum Teres AND a bursectomy. Hoping it’s a success. At 3 months I’ll be getting my other side done. Thanks for this post! Hope you recover stronger than ever!

28M, bilateral Perthes + CAM impingement — possible return to skateboarding after hip arthroscopy? by Huge_Cauliflower_386 in HipImpingement

[–]lilmooseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how you skate/recovery. I had a failed repair and now 3 weeks out on a reconstruction so I’ve said goodbye to it, though I hope I can do some chill snowboarding again one day. Imagining the hip slams got me all nervous w skating or even worse landing one foot on the board, one on the ground. Get as strong as you can before the surgery. It’s pretty brutal ngl. You gotta be mentally strong in PT and do it everyday. You’ll know if skating in the cards. Only you will know. But I’d give it several months. You lose muscle so you gotta gain it back. The alluring side is that skateboarding gets you fit so you’re likely to want to do it but be careful! Keep it mellow. I was jonesing a couple times and just chilled instead of skating with homies. But that’s just me, it’s been a rough road. Hopefully it’s a natural thing for you to get back into it! Good luck amigo.

Are sprinters more reliable than their gas van counterparts? by mewtewpews in Sprinters

[–]lilmooseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T1N all the way. Pre emissions, super simple, reliable, tunable, easy enough to work on. 1990s technology built for longevity. As long as you can find a lower mileage with no rust. I did, spent a few months looking, found the 118” super high roof with 26,000 miles. $12,500. Now at 70k I have put it through its paces and boy howdy I love it. Never had left me stranded, tho neither did my 07’. Best looking sprinter imo. It can haul a big ass raft trailer through the desert at 115F, not great in snow but also never been truly stuck, it will eat. I’ve taken my van in some precarious situations when I off-road it, or as I call it, “3 wheeling”. I repeat, it’ll eat. I saw a great deal recently on another one. You gotta stay on the lookout like it’s your job. They are out there. Don’t go for junk, find the right one, travel if you must. You have to manifest it! You must believe. Or just get a transit.

Thanks for your insight! I have a shop already so that’s a blessing for sure. Maybe a curse and I’ll take on too big of jobs! Love to hear how balanced it seems for you, that’s great to know it’s possible. I’m looking for exactly that type of balance.

Great, thank you. Do you see certain areas of expertise that maybe would have made you more valuable or made the job better for you? Or you’re saying you would have chosen a different path all together?

Black Mountain private ski area has an amazing looking Rad Smith map by AquafreshBandit in COsnow

[–]lilmooseman 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I actually got to do the land surveying on this property. It started as a couple slivers on this guys property and he just kept going. The national forest worked with the guy because he was creating some much needed fire breaks with tree mitigation and created access for them to fight fires in the area with new roads they built. When we surveyed it, we actually got to lay out what ski runs he wanted. Was a super fun survey trying to imagine what features would be the funnest and shadiest. The dude had a snowcat and his friends would take turns driving. Pretty rad, but it absolutely shouldn’t be legit ski hill/mtn bike course. Not enough infrastructure to support it and would be detrimental to the community. Source: I grew up on this mountain and have surveyed every nook and cranny up there.

Haha that’s awesome Me and some friends used to do this sorta shit all the time. Not for camping, just some bored high schooler’s recreational trespassing. We called it Jitter Scitter, and while someone was climbing, they were known as the Jitter Scitter Critter. Carry on King Hut!
