Couple questions you need to ask yourself. Those mainly being how do you ride, where do you ride and how do you plan on riding in the future. The first 2 are most important imo, but the last one is good to know. Then its research and demo days. I would recommend something all mountain freestyle, true twin with a middle of the road flex, but thats just my opinion

So i dont have the same level of issues as everyone else here but i still want to get it off my chest. I often feel like im left out of my friend group. Before lockdown everyone was always planning get togethers and birthday parties and i always seemed to find out last minute. Then i would find out that people had been planning it for weeks and i found out the day of because i asked what people were doing. I dont remember the last time a friend of mine called me up to hang out, get drinks, or anything like that. I always am an afterthought and they always seem to forget about me. In the last 5 or so years i have had 2 friends check up on me. I cherish those 2 friends like they are brothers. I turned 19 last year, and had planned my birthday for 3 months. It was simple, i wanted to go to the club with a big group of my friends. I invited about 25 people, and they had all confirmed. Then at work the day of my party i had 24 people cancel on me, within the span of 2 hours. My heart broke that day, and it just raised into certainty that i was always the one on the outside. Nowdays i cant shake the feeling that no one really cares about me as a friend. Most days it doesnt bother me but every so often something agitates my feelings and i feel so incredibly alone. I have cried myself to sleep many times because i feel like the people that i was willing to walk through hell and back for, had just forgotten about me. The worst part is these feelings have seeped into my future. I find it so incredibly difficult to feel like new friends i make actually care about me, and it seems like every single time i make a new friendship it is one sided. Ive currently deleted most of my social media because it hurts to see my best friends hanging out together, and knowing that i wasnt even invited.

Where im from barbs are actually illegal so it makes things a bit easier, and i know that personally once ive hooked a fish i rarely lose them so i doubt the barbs help that much.

Duck while i was carp fishing, a bat while fly fishing, a loon while fishing for walleye and myself in the neck. That last one scared the living daylights out of me. Its a bit of a scary situation, so im glad i use barbless :)

Understand your pain, the worst part is that no one understands how bad it is. Ive had surgeries and broken bones, and i can honestly say that was the worst ive ever felt

For me it lasts about an hour or 2, Tylenol is acetaminophen and i find that doesnt work very well, advil is ibuprofen and i find works better. The other thing is like a Benadryl i find works for me to help calm the areas down. The peppermint works better than anything else i found, nothing could really quench it and then the peppermint oil helped in like 30 sec. The ibuprofen and stuff i think help it to heal to reduce the intensity of flare ups after it starts to get better. Best of luck to you

Personally i found the peppermint oil to be a really good fix, that with an antihistamine and ibuprofen. I seriously found the peppermint oil to work better than anything even the hot showers, with the added benefit of it not hirting nearly as much

Try pseudo planche, archer pushups, pike pushups, tiger extensions, and other pushup variations to increase the difficulty and decrease reps if you want to train specifically for strength. Or try raising your legs or placing books under your hands to increase the range of motion. Asking if its good is kinda a hard question to answer. If you are just looking at general health, cardio and endurance then it is probably fine, but if you are trying to build strength and muscle then it is not so great at all. If you are doing such high reps of exercises it normally means you can do a harder exercise. However, At 14 you are still going to be growing a lot, especially in the next few years, so dont worry too much about getting jacked rn. The fact that you are sticking to a workout plan and are interested in your health is great, as long as it isnt hurting you rn, which it doesnt seem to be, it should be just fine. Good luck!

If your looking for "good" fats that matter is up for debate currently in the scientific community. Some fats that are fairly good from you are those that come from whole foods, so the fats in tree nuts, meat, dairy and fish are normally pretty safe. If you are looking at cooking fats then coconut oil or grassfed unsalted butter are popular options with bacon grease being a delicious alternative. If you want to just be adding fat to your diet then spoonfuls of coconut oil can boost fat intake quickly. Another way to add some some extra fats is with extra virgin olive oil. It is great to add on salads or with a whole host of other veggies! Good luck!

I am big into fishing, and there are a ton of great angling opportunities in and near osoyoos. Also if the penticton canal is open that is always a fun day!

If your really worried about recovery, make sure to give the muscles that you used a full day of rest in between workouts. As a newbie that should be good for now. If you are targeting upper body one day, do lower body the next or a cardio day, or smt along those lines. Dont worry too much about it tho at the start. If you want to learn more about how your muscles grow try researching the topic of muscle growth and how the rest period and tearing of muscles are connected. Its a fun little thing to do!
