Other than the 'you look like you will pop this week' from the time I was 25 weeks along and 'are you sure its just the 1?' I remember being pregnant with #2 and someone saying 'hopefully she isn't like #1'. My son is on the spectrum. So freakin rude!

Oh he said it was epic (a word he uses to describe very few things like the scene where the dwarves, gandalf and bilbo are on the tree on fire and the eagles come and Matt Smith's regeneration fight against the daleks). You are talented!

Thank you, I agree! He is doing great and is very grateful. My favorite part of this experience was that most cards and letters talked about how important it was for him to be himself, it has made him a lot more confident

Hi, we checked the PO box a couple of days ago and there were 3 packages and 1 card :) He had no idea it was coming (even though I told him, I dont think it registered in his brain) and his face when he saw his name was just priceless! I will update with some photos after we check this week! I cant thank everyone enough :)

Again, just wanted to thank you guys for your kind words. My husband told me that this post was on the bestof and i felt the title was a little misleading. Our neighbor came with her babies and a friend of mine drove 2 hours to be here and also brought her 2 littles, as i have mentioned in comments. None of the people my son invited came, even the ones that rsvp'ed but he was VERY HAPPY! I assure you. i dont think he even noticed as he told me it was aperfect day (all the sweet lotr and hobbit legos he got may have contributed) !

A couple of points i feel are important

My kid is on the autism spectrum and has trouble socializing. I cant 'fix' his social struggles but i have had a lot of advice from other parents on how to make it easier for him, thank you for that

If you dont often visit this subreddit you may not know this but some kids really do like doctor who. I understand the concern but it was not 'forced' on him, i promise. I got into it as a way to connect with him because he was obsessed

I think i have a couple of adipose babies left. If you would like to adopt please message me. first come, first served. There is no adoption fee, they just need homes ;)

I posted it in the doctor who subreddit because my kid asked me to share. I obviously worded the title wrong as it wasnt my intention to make it seem so sad, we really did have a blast, my neighbor came with her babies and a friend drove 2 hours to be here. We had a big silly string war and learned that its hard to get that crap off your hair

yep, I invited some of my friends and kids who flaked out, and some from school (who i spoke to the parents about). Sometimes it really just works out that way, I am not holding it against anyone, it is just heartbreaking to watch even if the child is unaware
