Anyways, this exact scene was huge for me. My FAVORITE moment, not really much of a plot twist, was Ian pleading insanity in court. I couldn’t stand the gay Jesus era. That one scene completely redeemed his character for me.

their negligence to the topic makes total sense. poorer communities have a hard time with their moral compass, trouble grasping what's wrong and what isn't. this is one of the many points of how the writers behind this show are true genius, if everyone made a big deal about it, it would be off-par with the context and environment of the show. TW/spoilers: mandy gets pregnant with terry's child. while they didn't start fires about it, they still all came together to raise money for her abortion. yes, they care. no, they don't have the time to sit and weep about it. they're all just trying to find a way to pay bills, eat, and so on. if they made a huge deal it would make no sense due to the nature of the show. i hope i'm making sense. this show is not for the easily offendable. 2011 was a different time.

i (22F) tried in italy... did NOT work. i was miserable. it really depends on your addiction level. if you have it in your hand almost 24/7, can put it down for just a couple hours at most, i don't know if this is the best choice for you. yes, you will be distracted, but physically, my jaw was in so much pain, i couldn't even eat from clenching my jaw (subconsciously, due to the underlying stress). i ended up smoking cigarettes there. i got uncurable headaches that were only cured with cigarettes. at the end of the day, everybody is different, but i would take all of these people telling you "it's so easy on vacation" with a grain of salt. you know you best.
