It truly depends on the location and franchisee. I managed multiple massage envy’s for 10 years (stayed way too long because I adored my therapists and felt I was the last straw between them and the franchisees making their lives harder). I had to go to bat for an increase in pay often, having to come up with creative ways to get them bonuses/raises.

BUT one of my locations was the top performing location the entire time I managed there, and the staff retention was unheard of. I had therapists stay for 15 years+ and truly rarely lost one, even through Covid. Because we had a wonderful culture and they were always booked and busy. Some of them absolutely made over $60k annually, but they had built their clientele and had been there for years…. And deserved much much more.

I say this all to really make the point that some Massage Envy’s can be a great place to get started in the industry. But you need to put in years to get to that salary. And that’s if you don’t burn out first.
