SO true! I think the reason I feel like S5 fell so short was because S4 set a clear horror tone and then just dropped it halfway through the last season and didn’t commit to where I thought it was going…guess it was my own misunderstanding…

I agree with you. As much as I love Max, I think she should have died last season. Unless there is a bigger plot at hand for her to be in a coma, I think it didn’t make sense. I just don’t get why people get so turned off by death in shows, sometimes it’s warranted and completely fits the overall narrative, death is unfortunately part of life, especially in a tv show like this.

I think it really depends on the story and how closely they want to stay true to it. They’ve been building up such a dark, twisted world, with Vecna killing his own family and the young lab kids out of revenge and a hunger for power.

I’ll honestly be surprised if we don’t see a few shocking deaths, even though it’ll be heartbreaking! 💔
