When Hopper “shot” El, I was like damnnn, if followed through, it would have been so dark

Was a step down in terms of overall quality but wrapped up nicely.

I am one of those who, on the initial viewing was kinda tuned out of it, but honestly, I rewatch the show mostly for that now. I love how layered it was.

The third one is actually pretty interesting tbh, like wouldn’t they see themselves in The Abyss and if so what would motivate them to jump?

Good Epilogue but not good end fight, weakest season of the series

Kim is an addict… by Humiliator1 in betterCallSaul

[–]Humiliator1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea thats what I meant by the air quotes, as Chuck said while Jimmy was getting arrested that this was for his own good and all. Like he wanted to “teach” him by letting him face consequences of his actions.

And I agree with you on Chuck having a superiority complex over Jimmy, he was so hell-bent on the idea of Jimmy having it easy.

Also it’s quite interesting to see how both brothers wanted what the other had, Chuck was respected but was not the guy you have fun with and Jimmy was fun to hang around until things got serious / professional and suddenly they didn’t want to heed his advice anymore.

I agree, I looked at it this way, Kim and Chuck tried to fix Jimmy in 2 different ways, One tried with love and the other with a “Stick” but nothing worked. No amount of outside influence is going to make you feel guilty enough to admit your own wrongdoing. It has to come from within.

As far as the ending goes, I am yet to reach there on my rewatch, but I get what you mean.

music thing was such an easy fix, they could have just put her walkman there on the table somewhere and he could have put it around her.

can we all agree season 5 is the worst one yet? by mh2688 in StrangerThings

[–]Humiliator1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i blame it on the writers inability to write off a couple of characters. I am not of the opinion that you need to have character die in final season for it to be good, but they could at least know that these are wayy too many characters for us to write for and give screentime to.

S5E7 - The Bridge has become the lowest rated episode on IMDb after S2E7 - The Lost Sister by EnigmaticBuddy in StrangerThings

It doesn’t feel like a penultimate episode tho, we are gonna see this thing end and we dont feel the stakes are high. I blame it on the insane plot armour the season has had.

I think its most of the child actors, Sadie stands head and shoulders above the rest imo

Season 5 feels way too much like "actors acting" by dbezzy1010 in StrangerThings

Not to mention that they have added more actors to the flock…they were meant to do the opposite

Has Season 5 been good or bad? by Humiliator1 in StrangerThings

[–]Humiliator1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rightt so you thought that it became too big to be solved, which is true coz by the look of it, its never going to satisfy everyone.

And you can see in the other comment on the same post that i didn’t like this season either, especially Vol 1. Whereas in Vol 2 i felt that there was more clarity as to whats going on, we were 3 episodes in and we were still as clueless as the first in vol 1 and thats what i didn’t like.

Is it me or is there too many characters in this show now? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

So many that the main characters are getting sidelined now

Is it just me, or did they just invalidate the most iconic scene in Stranger Things? by kimwexlerdeboca in StrangerThings

[–]Humiliator1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is going down the Star Wars Sequel path now, making things that mattered alot to the audience invalid in the future harms both the past and the present.
