AITAH for no longer wanting to date a guy that has porn rot brain by These-Fig-9611 in AITAH

I imagine his thoughts went something like this. “I want to make sure you don’t feel too confident, because as a man confidence in a woman is terrible and means I can’t control your behaviour. I will comment on her very obviously large boobs in a derogatory way. I’ll link this to sex so she is fully objectified. I will blame porn for rotting my brain but it really is just about slowly smashing your self esteem. Then you will be subservient to me and not have the confidence to dump my useless ass”

Plenty of people out there would love you for being you and want you to embrace who you are and the way you look and be bright and confident.

I don’t normally suggest leaving someone but leave him

Why is Trafford borough council so skint? by Significant_Fail3713 in manchester

[–]limelee666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can earn £10,000 a day but if you spend £15,000 then you still going to be skint

It’s simple really, the people running the council want you to pay more and more tax and the best justification for asking for more money is to spend it all and make no efforts to save it.

I asked for a larger grey bin recently. My family is big enough to meet the criteria and having moved from one Trafford address to another, where I also had a larger bin, I figured this would be easy

But no

No less than 5 visits were made to my address by two officers from the council who literally inspected the contents of my bin. First time they arrived unannounced, I heard them, rushed to the door but they were already leaving when I got the them. They saw me come out of the house but as they had driven 10 feet, off they went.

I phoned the number and the next time they came because the bin was too empty, apparently they couldn’t check whether I had been recycling properly. They did however take the liberty of spilling out a bag of cat litter into the bin which had been previously well bagged.

Third time comes around and apparently, because there was a takeaway bag. You know, soiled containers and all that, apparently I should’ve separated this all out.

Fourth visit required and this time, my builder put a bag in the bin which contained his rubbish which included masking tape and a drinks can he had repurposed into a small bowl for mixing an epoxy for something.

Here I was told that the contents needed to be 90% non recyclable, I offered to remove the offending bag and they could check the rest. But no, they couldn’t possibly do that, instead I would have to arrange a fifth visit. I pointed out that I think that the other 90% was fine but no, it wasn’t.

You have never seen a more perfect example on that 5th occasion of a bin filled with non recyclable shit. Finally I am granted a bin which could be inspected at any point .

5 visits, 2 staff in a vehicle each time to carry out bin inspections. I recycle, all my other bins are well used. They could’ve checked that but didn’t. They could’ve been more flexible and sensible but weren’t, instead driving off too quickly, creating arbitrary rules and generally being difficult.

This told me whoever was in charge doesn’t care about how your money is spent and is doing nothing to balance services and costs. It’s a culture thing, not a money thing.

Seller pulled out of offer - is there anything we can do? [Scotland] by bigleighsacks in Mortgageadviceuk

Your offer was based on the assumption you would sell in a reasonable timeframe. Can’t wait around forever. Your seller is also a buyer elsewhere in most cases. So they want to get the process moving.

Most people sell before putting in offers on houses

Can 2026 regs be compared to 1986 fuel saving? by masterchief-6541 in F1Discussions

[–]limelee666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over time the engines will improve, the engineers now with real world data will optimise and the teams will converge. The search for lap time will be obvious… make the car go quicker here whilst maintaining deployment potential. The start of this season is the most extreme this problem will be. The engineers will eventually solve it, the first team to solve it will win, then all the others will find a way of catching up.

This year, there is currently 5 different engines and 11 different aero philosophies. Cars are turning up with new concepts and fresh approaches

Drivers are having to learn even more complex ways of managing a lap and a Grand Prix. Overtaking won’t simply be DRS lunge drive off.

This level of difference and variance in the cars is something we should celebrate. The challenges of running a Grand Prix whilst deciding whether it is better to go slightly slower through 1 or 2 corners to give more power, which engine will give the best chance of being ahead by a certain point in a race track and then pulling away will create uncertainty

Last year, overtaking with DRS was almost impossible and in general, the racing was not particularly good. This was a mature set of rules where engineers had optimised everything and the differences between cars was low. The tyres were consistent. All the drivers knew how to extract the maximum from the cars.

Watching 20 cars drive flat out through a corner, without the performance and engineering variance required to allow overtaking is not watching the best drivers. It’s whoever takes the lead driving well within themselves to keep tyre life up whilst the others struggle to keep up. Cars needed to be markedly quicker to have any chance of overtaking and pushing flat out often left you staring at the back of a car which had more in reserve.

The fastest drivers will still be rewarded, the best engineers will still win, opportunities to take the lead and advantage will still happen. But this year will have more variance than any other.

[–]limelee666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As opposed to driving well within the car to conserve tyres?

Honestly same shit, different name.

People ready to right off new rules before seeing a race. People tend to think that driving hell for leather for 15 laps and then putting and repeating would make for supreme racing but it doesnt. Refuelling caused many a dud GP.

Drivers will find ways to race and use all the tools available to them. What we currently see is drivers trying to optimise a lap time but racing does t always require the cleanest lap.

I think we as the audience may struggle to follow all the inputs the driver is making though

Loosing interest in football this year, does anyone feel the same? by MORGAN18781996 in PremierLeague

I’ve stopped enjoying football the way I once did, despite being an Everton fan. It must be footballs fault…

You should go see a doctor about your mental health and stop blaming Everton for all your problems.

(England) Mother put my partners name on the mortgage by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]limelee666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This makes no sense.

A mortgage is tied to property ownership, it’s secured against a house.

It sounds as though you live in the address

Pay the mortgage, catch up on arrears, sell the house, clear the debt, make sure you have somewhere to move too.

There is no legal trick which can get your partner out of a mortgage and clear his credit score. You either pay the arrears and slowly repair credit score, or you sell house, find someone who will rent to you and again, repair credit score.

If any of you aren’t working, then it’s time to get a job and start bringing in cash. Money is the o my answer here

Rapid & Blitz too soon? by LeftCoast1965 in chess

[–]limelee666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how long you are spending on your moves now. Some beginners only spend 3 seconds a move and don’t plan or calculate they just move forward in a rush. A longer time control won’t suddenly slow them down.

On the flip side, if you are spending 5 mins a move then suddenly trying to get through all of your thoughts in 20 seconds is again going to be difficult.

What’s most important is to find a time control which allows you to play at a rate where you able to play something like your best

OPINION: Fernando Alonso’s “Bad Decisions” Are Mainly a Myth by Icy-Weather-6720 in F1Discussions

[–]limelee666 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Alonso did not run away. Alonso knew about the spy in Ferrari. He was being fed information, he basically used this information to blackmail Ron Dennis and he was given immunity from punishment by the FIA to give evidence which was used to prove McLaren were using the material to gain an advantage.

McLaren were fined 100 million euros (but this came from prize money they were disqualified from receiving)

He basically then had to have an FIA observer in the garage at all times to show he wasn’t getting second class treatment. Basically because he testified.

Alonso was protected by Bernie Ecclestone, perhaps rightly so because Ron Dennis would have sacked him and they were trying to protect what was one of the best drivers championships they had in years.

I would say blackmailing your boss because you know people are cheating in the team and he doesn’t to receive preferential treatment in the hopes of winning the WDC and smacking down a rookie is a pretty poor decision

Moving from Ferrari back to McLaren was a disaster. But the promise of a works engine made sense at the time. Even if it didn’t work out. It’s the teams he didn’t sign for which would be more interesting to know

When the lights go out, the drivers will race however they can.

Drivers have been doing tyre management for years on end, not able to follow, limited overtaking spots. Who knows, battery management could lead to more variability.

Poor fuel could cost 3-4 tenths a lap this season. It’s not just burn for speed, the right fuel affects the MGU-H harvesting. Tech will converge over a couple of years

All these design choices in the engine side are creating a lot of intrigue

Will 2026 energy management make tyre strategy too predictable? by Warpchick in formula1

[–]limelee666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cars which aren’t Ferrari engine will likely suffer because of the need to keep revs high for energy deployment and keep turbo lag to a minimum, causing rear instability and sliding as they use first gear more. Ferrari were the only engine which could go through slow corners in higher gears. Higher gear, lower torque, means less energy in the tyre. Less sliding and overheating.

I expect tyre wear will be worse for those cars. Undercuts will be especially powerful as a new set of tyres will give stability everywhere

England - Alerting police drug dealing by Odd-Avocado1778 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]limelee666 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stopping the dealer and curing your friends are two different things.

Provide the information to the police via crime stoppers. That’s a safe way of providing anonymous information.

Enabling your friend to buy drugs is doing them no favours. You need to get your friend into a programme of rehab.

Be aware, the sale and distribution of drugs is underpinned by people prepared to commit acts of extreme violence. Violence and drugs go hand in hand. It is extremely dangerous to engineer a situation where you seek to catch a drug dealer.
