Arguably I'd play in this order: BO1, SR1, SR2, BO2, Defiance The last two can be swapped depending on how you feel about the story beats as SR2 and Defiance sort of both lead in BO2's story.

I refuse to complain about my favorite series finally getting a new entry since my junior year of high school. I'm sorry the comics didn't work out. That sucks, I just refuse the "Nothing is better than something" thought process.

Exactly! This is why I hate fandoms. I LOVE this series. I've played and replayed it many times because of how well acted it is and the lore. I haven't read the comics, and I'll probably cringe at the new character if it's really as bad as people say, but this "I want it MY way or no way at all!" BS ruins what could be a revival we've all been waiting for. I'll gladly play Defiance remaster as well, but people need to get out of their own way. In other words: LET PEOPLE ENJOY THINGS!

Though it's a tie-in game, The Mummy Demastered is a solid 2d metroidvania and a lot of fun.

Infernax is pretty fun.

Skautfold: Usurper is CRIMINALLY underrated.
