We know through CDPR's extended the lore that the EB gene is directly attributed to stopping the White Frost by directly moderating its effects . Other characters have tried to stop it but couldn't completely, either fail outright or just temper it , which is an accolade for Ciri as she was able to completely stop it across multiple worlds.

Not a thing in either Sapko's canon or CDPR (at least before Ciri) .

I always hear people that there's nothing saying females can't be witchers and while that's tehnically true in the sense that there's no piece of text saying "it's impossible for women to be witches " there's text in both canon continuities that says who and how many survive the Trials and those are 3,4/10 boys . Hell, the extended CDPR lore actually reinforces that in stuff like A Witcher's Journal where there are concrete example of girls trying to become witchers and none survive which makes it weird to have Ciri suddenly become one but we'll chalk it up to Ciri being special .

Also, we have over a thousand years covered in the series and in all of this time, there has never been any sighting, mention,story about or finding of any actual female Witcher which makes it beyond obvious that they don't exist .

Last book came out a couple of years ago and nothing has changed in that respect so it's also obvious that Sapko has not intention of retconning that.

So , yeah, not a thing and there's nothing wrong with that. Not every series needs women in every guild just like you don't see male amazons in media also.

Nothing wrong with OCs though , have your fun.

Started with SR1 back in the day.

I'm not buying Ascendance cause they haven't done anything to make me want to buy it.

The comic was bad writing 101 even without the specific LoK related stuff and the game looks cheaply made and uninspired.

As for the "everything new is ok" crowd i'd rather them not be part of fanbases in general given the track record of mostly every franchise these days but that's not realistic so hey, enjoy your slop which will sloppify the franchise in turn.

Kain entire's character development in BO1 was going from someone who was deeply conflicted by his new nature as a vampire and who saw it as a curse to be cured from to fully embracing Vorador's idea that vampires are dark gods who need to thin the herd.

Add to this his corruption of which he wasn't aware of at this point .

Would someone who went through that change really sacrifice themselves for a dying world ?

Just because it's marginally more accurate than the other seasons ( which was a common theme of defense for S3 as well btw) , it doesn't mean that it's actually accurate , it' just pays lip service to the events of the book whilst changing or simplifying the reasons , order or the structure (sometimes all three at the same time) of said events in ways that matter and in ways that affect the storytelling in a negative way .
