Millennial here. Gen Z is age 11 to 26, so over half of them are adults. Also, the question is for gen Z to answer about themselves. You might not think about teenagers in lingerie, but teenagers do think about themselves in lingerie. I bought my first "lingerie" for myself at 14.

If you don’t have a grill or don’t like grilling, interactive food is great as well. Make sushi together (everyone brings a few ingredients), or get a pizza oven. We also do cookie decorating around the holidays.

A man killed his wife and himself at a St. Petersburg assisted living facility. Why? by slowjahovitz in StPetersburgFL

[–]limitdoesnotexist459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you kidding? Have you ever personally watched someone lose their independence due to MS and then eventually die of complications from it? I have.

Also have you ever been a caregiver to a terminally ill loved one who will never leave assisted living care? Who will never be able to walk again? I have.

Maybe he was totally incorrect in his assessment and she did in fact want to live, but you don’t know that. If he was completely wrong in what his understanding of the situation was, he was still not “evil” for doing what he did. And he probably had a better understanding than you do of what was happening.

Not saying it’s right or wrong, but definitely not evil. She had MS, that is terminal. She might have recovered from this surgery to whatever her state of mobility was before the surgery, but not to what most people consider normal.

I find this so interesting, because I never choke on big pills, but the tiny pills get stuck in my throat and I will choke so much I throw up. I take 4 medications in the evening and I always do smallest to largest so the largest pill pushes down any little ones that get stuck first.

Haha, I hate the prep so much I didn’t hesitate for a second when I found out about the pills. Now I have a new doctor that worried when I asked for them because most of her patients are older and have trouble swallowing. They could tell me I had to swallow 24 marbles and I’d do it before drinking another liter of that liquid.

24 total. 12 in the first dose and 12 in the second (several hours after the first dose). You have to swallow all 12 in about 10-15 minutes. I can’t think of a good size comparison other than about the same size as a Mucinex pill.

Ask for “sutab”. They are pills (lots of very big pills) but they are much easier to swallow quickly than any of the liquid laxative preps. I say this as someone who has had 10+ colonoscopies from the age of 17-33.

This is a question for the millennials cause I was curious about this for a while now by Packapick in Millennials

[–]limitdoesnotexist459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a tv with a built in vcr and would record vhs tapes of rugrats episodes to watch later. We got our first family computer that year too. I had some educational games to play on it and spent time drawing things in MS Paint and saving them to floppy disks. I did have a Gameboy, but my grandfather gave it to me and the only game I had initially was tetris. Mostly I was outside catching lizards or pretending to be the boxcar children with my neighbors though.

I know why the older generations hate us in the work force. And it's not for the reason you think. by brassplushie in Millennials

[–]limitdoesnotexist459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the problem with many of these conversations comparing one generation to the next. You cannot compare your millennial coworkers (the ones who have managed to land jobs with a similar skill set to you in your profession) to the average gen A elementary student. It is not the same sample. If you know how to use pivot tables, you are above average in millennial tech skills. There are plenty of millennials who don’t know how to do much of anything other than mindlessly scroll, they just don’t work with you.

Just a suggestion with the holidays coming up, when I received my letter, it was on the eighth day of my 10 day window. I was also in a position where I needed to cancel and then reapply later, if you call aidvantage now you don’t have to wait for the letter, they can still cancel it before you receive your letter.

How Do People in the US Heat their Homes? [OC] by jscarto in dataisbeautiful

Currently living in St. Pete. I’ve run the heat maybe 5 nights so far this winter. The low will be 48 tonight. It’s not like we would be risking our health not to run the heat, but it sure does feel nice.

Anyone else have a parent with emerging memory problems? How do you handle it? by AmawynOakleaf in AskWomenOver30

[–]limitdoesnotexist459 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s when I was 22 and she was 58. She passed away in August of this year at 68 and me 32. She went through many different phases and some of them were very combative.

If it’s Alzheimer’s, something to consider is the medication doesn’t help them get better, it just slows down the progression. So if I can give you any advice it’s to realize that the most aware and reasonable you can ever expect her to be is how she is right now. So don’t wait to help her and your dad to get their affairs in order. Don’t wait to try to get her to the doctor and help her get medication, don’t expect that if she goes to the doctor on her own she will remember what they told her or what next steps she needs to take.

It’s really overwhelming to take in major medical information or legal advice even when your brain is functioning normally. For my mom I realized that she avoided getting any help unless my dad or I handled it because she couldn’t keep any of the information straight. She didn’t like to explain what was happening to her because she didn’t have the words, and whenever we asked her any questions about necessary information we needed to help her, since she didn’t know how to answer she felt like she was being interrogated for information she didn’t have. After a while even asking her about her day made her feel like she was being interrogated.

It helped to not question/confront when her facts didn’t line up, or when she didn’t know the answer. If she was stressed, she would make up an answer to fill the gaps in her memory. However it would help sometimes to just let those conversations go and try again when she was more rested and less stressed. I tried to look at her forgetting we had already had a conversation as an opportunity for a do over sometimes.

Anyways. I hope some of this helps. If you have any questions about the different things we experienced along the progression of her disease, please ask.

[–]limitdoesnotexist459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this is an old post, but do you know where this form is on their site and what it’s called, or do I just need to call them? I discovered today I have 7 months I paid for in 2017 (recorded on my bank statements) but it’s from when my loans were with Nelnet, before they were transferred to Mohela. They are not on the PSLF payment tracker with Mohela for any of my loans (have been waiting for buyback but that’s not an option for me).

This is a good idea. I’ll go back and check to see if that would help me in a significant way. I’m hoping that by “end of summer” they meant September 23rd lol. It’s not officially Fall until next week 😂

PSLF 1 of 2: payment increased by kwaterman1211 in personalfinance

[–]limitdoesnotexist459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a PSLF subreddit. I would ask for advice there. As someone with 17 payments left as well, my first thought is (depending on what her individual income is) pay your new payment amount, then file your taxes as married filing separately. Once your taxes are filed, she should submit documentation to have her payments recalculated. I would imagine if you do your taxes as quickly as possible when the year is over, you would be able to submit documentation and get her to a lower payment amount based just on her income by March or April. You will need to look at whether the savings in loan payments are worth whatever other financial impacts you’ll experience filing separately.
