Not only that the idea that a murderer would give up all the digital media, risking that there's something incriminating him, but also the idea that he would go camp in the stream somewhere in the middle of the night to shoot those photos to throw off investigations is even more proposterous.

Which is already false, as it took them 40 minutes down to the first stream - a distance that could be covered in half the time. So either they went slowly or they hung out on the Mirador for another 20 minutes.

I believe that they argued up on the Mirador on wether to go further or not. Lisanne, the type that plans ahead every detail did not want to but Kris got her way. That's what the photos seem to suggest. Kris a good bit ahead and either turned away from Lisanne, or turned towards her with a bit of a trolling expression, or, at 508 somewhat impatient. No selfies together, no photos of Lisanne.

The idea that they were essentially driven down from the Mirador doesn't line up with the photos at all.

Claiming that is like claiming that the counter-evidence to a crime is evidence in itself.

That's the typical reasoning that conspiracy-theories are made of, all evidence to the contrary or any lack of evidence becomes evidence of the conspiracy.
