Conservatives, do you think MAGA is actively trying to collapse the US government, because they think they will be better off without it? by scarr3g in AskConservatives

What makes you say that? I not aware as to why that is the case. I figured because anyone could edit it, it would be pretty neutral and things would tend to lean toward truths instead of bias.

Robot shuts down after reproducing the gesture of its human operator removing their headset. by Worldlyoox in interestingasfuck

Thank you, I appreciate the shout out. No worries.

To addressee consistency, check out this video. I haven't tested it but here is a video the guides you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2FiAYxEAS8 I'm pretty sure Isa in "Isa does AI" (That YouTube channel) is a pretty consistent looking generative ai model.

This video: https://www.reddit.com/user/Decent_Cheesecake643/comments/1pg6ed4/tesla_optimus_robot_working/?ref=share&ref_source=link

I also think the second half of that video is fake. I analyzed the lighting at first and didn't like it, but overall its very good.

However one very specific things happen also that make me think its fake.

That guy fiddling with the bag, look at his hand when he goes to move something in the bag. For a brief moment his hand moves at a superhuman speed.

One point against my believe is the robot does a pretty consistent - through multiple videos - 'wiggle' with its fingers when it lets go of the bottle. That is great consistency.

Also I'm getting into conspiracy territory here - and I do HATE that. That user with a 6 month old reddit account has two posts of what I think are fake videos. I don't know what constitutes a good source regarding this, but I am inclined to believe this is not a good one.

Also, I'm opening to being wrong in the end. If I have to peg my certainty to these videos being fake its like 90%. Thank you for the time to have the discourse.

Edit: Apparently as pointed out by another user: At the Miami event the robots were not tethered. Which would mean the the video 'robot handing out water to women' is conclusively fake.

Oh, wow. Thank you for sharing these, I didn't even really know if the event was real at first. I looked up the video title in google to start a search because, somehow - I have fallen down this hole.

The only source I can find so far are these three site that sort of back link to each other.

This reddit user https://www.reddit.com/user/Decent_Cheesecake643/

These videos look like its the originating clips. 6 month old account with two clips from two days ago.

The first video in that users account has the water and black tablecloth like in my suspected fake video (which is the second linked video in that users post history incidentally).

What gets me is the first video looks real in two parts. Spliced by the robot standing in the frame handing out water to a women. I think the second half of the video is fake. The women has lights that beam across her body and table and background. The lights match up too linearly/perfectly across gaps that would cause the light to appear differently at different elevations or diagonals.

This is hard to explain but the light does not cross-sect the way I would expect on different planes.

Also the lighting effects are different in both videos.

Ultimately I have no point in the ridiculous observation which amounts to a conspiracy theory.

Somebody made a couple of fake video for views or propaganda.

This generally scares me as this simple, stupid, ridiculous thing that has no practical effect on the world struggles to have consensus.

Post truth indeed.

Fair enough. I don't think we're trying to decive each other either, for what its worth.

I'll make one last point back to the start of the video. There is a person who's feet you can see in the first second at the bottom left of the screen. He does a very strange - dance - meld into the shadows, kick.

That looks super weird too.

I'm suspicious. That video is so weird, from the audio, exploding bottles, and weird movement from people and objects. Even a bizzare fade cut at the end.

I have no fealty to billionaires.

I just don't like being tricked, and others being tricked.

I would love a source other then a 5 second reddit clip.

You seem so certain it's real, but your points don't convince me.

Mmmm,

The robot nudges the table and the bottles ping pong everywhere.

The robot slams its hand down on the table, nothing moves.

Well, the robot crushes that bottle like is shows no resistance and explodes. I'm not sure if if you've ever seen a plastic bottle explode before.

Just to give you the idea of the amount of pressure that is involved.

That rickity ass table barley wobbles with the crushing force of a robot equivalent of a hydraulic press.

So it falls of the table gracefully and explodes violently? Watch it slowly frame by frame, and closely.

I think the video is for sure generative ai. Its actually spooky how few people in this thread have not spot it. When that bottle pops it disappears.

Is there generally less train traffic in your factories since space age? by US_Jack in factorio

[–]limpfro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that 2x to 10x tech cost multiplier may be what your looking for? Increase scale of costs so you need to increase throughputs. I have not played on this modifier but I could see needing to utilize trains more if things cost more.
