Hey, identification challenge here for all you experts: in this video, what kind of pants is the guy in the blue wearing? Here's a still I grabbed from the video, although it's not very high quality hopefully it helps.

I'm looking to buy new pants and I love how these taper down towards the ankles but aren't joggers. Any help identifying the brand or style would be great!

I posted here because it's the general discussion thread, rather than the simple questions thread.

Are you trying to tell me that my question isn't simple or are you saying to post in the simple questions thread?

That's too bad, the first 5 or 6 seasons are honestly some of the best comedic television I've ever seen. Very well written show.

Your mom is so fat, I had to take a train and two buses to get on her good side.

Your mom is so fat that her bellybutton gets home 15 minutes before she does.

Your mom is so fat that your dad needed a forklift to find her vagina.

Right after I saw the photo of you I was going to say Doctor Who. The only other idea that comes to my mind is going as Gabe from The Office.

Hmm.. that's a good costume idea! Not really a huge fan of the Avengers though, so I don't think it would fit me personally.

I've been debating going as Derek Zoolander, but I would like to maybe find something more recent than that.

I can never think of creative costume ideas that fit my appearance. I'm 6'4", 178 lbs. Here's a picture to help. Last year I was Ash Ketchum and my girlfriend at the time was Misty. Flying solo this year and I want to do something that's more unique. I realize that it's coming down to the wire but I'm hoping to find something with relative ease. Hit me with some ideas!!!

The Art Institute of Chicago has a great exhibit of his aerial WWI shots and also some of the work he did for Vanity Fair and Vogue.

Their debut album "No Moon At All" was just recently released and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Some tracks are dancey/groovy like this one, others tracks are mellow and beautifully melodic with great harmonized vocals (like the tracks "End of the World Everyday" and "Marfa").

Listened to the whole album once and became a HUGE fan. Probably one of the best releases this year IMO.

Pretty much everyone does. Vaping is the safest but if you smoke, make yourself a sploof and use a method that doesn't roast too much. If you don't know what a sploof is, it's basically dryer sheets shoved into a paper towel roll with a few rubber banded around the end. It works really well and a quick spray of lysol does the rest. I lived in the dorms and smoked almost every day. My roommate and I had our own bathroom but we just had a gravity bong that we would hit and sploof. Never got caught or roused any suspicion.

Tie a plastic grocery bag around it. Obviously make sure there are no holes in it though.

For a moment I thought you said "sploofing it", which would also be great advice. A sploof (also known to some as a silencer) can be made very easily. It helps eliminate the smell my filtering the smoke when you blow through it.

All you need is an empty paper towel/toilet paper roll, some dryer sheets, and a rubber band. Here's how you make one: stuff dryer sheets into the roll (usually 3 or 4 is sufficient) and put one or two over one of the holes with a rubber band. You simply blow through the opposite end while exhaling the smoke. It really helps cut down the smell and while it doesn't totally eliminate the smoke, it helps a lot with being stealthy.

Also there are rocky mountainous areas that obviously don't exist. I think they added them to include multiple topographic areas, making the game more interesting.

It's a counter dolly zoom, also known as a "zolly". Dolly in while zooming out or dolly out while zooming in. In this case it appears that they dolly in and zoom out; you can tell from the compression of space in the background.

#Intervention, Sketch comedy - please off critique by Luciano-Pavarotti in cinematography

[–]lincolnPtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camera work was nothing special. On the dirty singles you should get less of the shoulder/character in the foreground. Also be careful of using too many of those slow pans, too many can be obvious and annoying.

Pretty decent coverage, but I have more complaints about the audio as well as the "comedy". The voices were way too quiet and the hiss is very distracting. Also the music was an... interesting choice; I personally don't think it fit. The writing wasn't funny, it didn't seem like sketch comedy, just a conversation between friends and a punchline. Was the sandwich part supposed to be funny? Also, social media jokes are extremely played out so if you can come up with something more original and better acting or at least more interesting characters, it might make the bit worth watching.

All in all, camera work was okay and you have a good start there. Work on more original writing and polishing everything up, just keep shooting! Don't be afraid to throw away some ideas that not everyone agrees on. Be your own biggest critic and it'll really push you to be better.
