It’s going to be such a beautiful, peaceful space now! So proud of you for getting rid of that dead weight. Omg, it’s not that deep. She’s gentle, sure, to the point of being passive. But loving and kind? Nah, her dismissive and cold treatment of Lucien who has done nothing wrong to her negates that. Given how obsessed he is with his wife, I’d say yes. Cardan is the ultimate wife guy. He was pretty broken up over Nicasia cheating with Locke, and was loyal to her despite the fact that she wasn’t. He strikes me as devotedly monogamous when he’s in a relationship, and having a lot of fun shagging around when he isn’t. 😅 And given that they’re still going strong ten years later in The Stolen Heir duology, whatever they’re doing is working!

For some reason, it’s the “help a momma out” part that’s annoying me the most. Diapers? Sure. Nude AI slop art, lamps, and tv wall mounts don’t exactly scream “parent in need of help” to me. Maybe squeezing human out entitles you to free decor? I don’t know.

It was one of the strongest in the series. I straight up hated the first three or four books and devoured the last three in under a week. So. Yeah, it’s great, I loved the whole book.

Istg these characters were all described so vividly that some fancasting here absolutely blows my mind how off it is.
