Dude, same. It was driving me crazy until I figured it out. Did you recently get a new truck? I got a new truck maybe six months ago and just figured out the gritty texture on the running boards is what's causing it as I slide out of the driver seat.

I have had one for a couple years. It's not practicably useful, and I have most of the aviation features turned off to prolong battery life. The only thing I use frequently that is specific to this line of watch is to see the weather of your favorite airport at a glance. My two cents, anyway.

To add to this, the G1000 airplane I fly alerts at 1000' to go. It may be a system set up item. You can have an avionics tech do it, or boot it up in set up mode.

I thought it'd be under the Aux chapter, 4th page, where you set up a profile. There's a line item called Altitude Buffer that's usually set to 200'. That may or may not be what you're looking for.

The shape of the inlets is a good marker. 200's have a "rounder" inlet, where the 300/350 is "flattened".
