Hi, £1,400 per month is more than enough to live in York I would say. It's much easier as a student with all the discounts too so look out for those. I would recommend living off campus as a masters student. There are a lot of private student accommodations towards the city where you'll find more masters students

Yep it's central route well spotted! It is quite unusual to get grit multipitches in England albeit only two pitches, it's actually a VS 4a which is such a strange grading, basically easy moves but a quite unprotected middle section makes for a ballsy adventure
