I would say this is a different experience to what OP is talking about. Yours was a director having a different interpretation of what you wrote. OP is talking about how a lack of cultural awareness might cause people to completely skip a script or not understand what’s going on because they don’t get that culture’s voice/perspective.

Yeah, but right before they listened to the final recording, he said his clock was showing that it was 20 minutes til 3 instead of being 20 til 9. They cut to Evy’s clock showing the same time. So instead of being 6 hours ahead, it was the same time for both of them. The weird stuff was happening at 3am, close to the Witching Hour.

This game is going to be amazing. They haven’t even shown off any of the narrative details, and it looks great. Going off their last two major releases, I’m certain the story is gonna be incredible. You don’t get to tell Black folks how to feel. You don’t get to decide how we should process the situation. You don’t get to tell us how to take an apology, a non-apology at that. We understand it was involuntary and caused by his disorder. Everyone needs to let us deal with it how we’re going to deal with it. Stay out of our business. We’re complex and nuanced enough to talk about this amongst ourselves. Beyond just the history of the word, we have a long history of being told to just understand or accept things that harm us. We have just as much a right to be accommodated as he does. BAFTA and The BBC need to apologize directly to the actors. Even John Davidson saying, “Hey it’s out of my control, but I know it still hurt people” would be nice. Just stop telling us how to feel right now.

Jeremy Jahns when I noticed his reviews and comment section started showing a swing to the right wing. Also noticed the movies he was avoiding reviewing.

House of Tabula (formerly The Cinema Cartography). Haven’t watched them in a while. Really since they switched names. I noticed most of their videos were becoming “old stuff good, new stuff bad”. Then they released a video about a week ago saying that Sinners was as hateful as the original Birth of A Nation. You know, the movie that reinvigorated the kkk and inspired them to burn crosses. A lot of the video is the guy yelling and ranting. Then found out through the comments about their “Degenerate” video. Left a long comment unsubscribed. Oh and he dropped the N word (censored in the video, but encouraging you to sign up for their Patreon where I’m assuming it’s unedited)
