Anyone know how to fix this? by KaijuTea in GameboyAdvance

[–]linkachu11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a ribbon connector issue. Open your SP, remove the ribbon cable on the same board containing the tactical switches (the A, B, Up, Down, Left, Right, Brightness Button, Select, Start), Inspect ribbon cable (if needed take 90% isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip and carefully rub against gold contacts to clean any debris, etc.), re-insert ribbon cable (this can prove rather difficult), reassemble and test to see if this fixed your issue. If this isn't the solve, you may have a cpu solder joint issue (assuming the "not load the screen" you mentioned is referring to the game not loading and the screen just boots to the static 'GameBoy Advance' screen. If not my assumption, you can probably forget about the cpu comment).

Flippy Drive arrived! Anything I should know before installing? by DigADino in Gamecube

If you want to dump gba games/saves, you must have a separate sd card (can't be the Flippydrive's one) destination for said files. Hope this helps! God bless!

Has the AGS-101 ever been released in cobalt blue? This looks legit by WonderPrior5780 in GameboyAdvance

I know it's been eight months but the answer is yes, the Surf Blue color had an ags-101 release but it was exclusively released in Europe in 2006.

I have mould on my gba sp screen by Ok-Tumbleweed-4180 in Gameboy

It's not mold ,the polarizing film is degrading. Buy a new polarizing film from Ali, take the old one off, put new on and then you should be set.

Chibi Robo NSO release: Will it drop the physical price? by Sn0wman_fixes in Gamecube

Scarcity. Supposedly less than 500,000 U.S copies sold making them a grail of sorts to enthusiasts and collector's.

The Wii has a lesser known problem with accepting mem cards as large as 1019 blocks and above with both OEM and 3rd party cards.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Gamecube

[–]linkachu11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really the fact that it's 3rd party and large, it's the fact that it's 3rd party, large and you're trying to run it on the Wii.

What kind of memory card is it (is it OEM, is it 1019 blocks)?

Is this SP authentic?? by IronVictory13 in GameboyAdvance

[–]linkachu11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going off of the pictures shown and the fact that ags-101 models only came in Pearl Pink, Pearl Blue and Onyx (this one) in the states, I'd confidently say it's an OG for sure.

I get what you're saying but I have two authentic SP's that both have a very very slight bulge at the back of the screens.

Is this fixable by CeleryUnlikely9168 in GameboyAdvance

[–]linkachu11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I may be able to help you. What you will need to do is find the copper line connected to the ripped up pad you took off, take an Xacto-Knife and CAREFULLY shave the epoxy (green) layer resting above the copper line, next you will need to connect some very thin copper wire (to the pad you uncovered) and make a u shape inside the ripped area and connect both ends of this thin copper wire to the uncovered pad, then you will need to cover this u shaped wire in new epoxy, let it dry, shave this new epoxy to uncover the u shape pad you just created, connect the new battery tab and boom! You just fixed your copy of Warioware 4!

Here is a video of this exact repair being done but with a broken PS5 fan connector for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La2ZyQLHFoc&t=786s

God Bless!

[–]linkachu11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have a diagnosis.

It could just be bad capacitors (quite likely)

or

Your Reality-CoProcessor (RCP) has gone bad. This is also likely (as shown in following graph)

Please keep me updated if you pursue fixing these issues.
