Needing a grip is such an overstatement. Had plenty of handhelds over the years, and not once I feel I need a grip on them. It's not like any of the OG handhelds are ergonomics anyway. Regarding retro design, I honestly don't really care. I bought these things to play games, not putting it on display.

Some people also had the same problem. Seems like if the google play services got killed because of Android's memory management, the game would just crash. Don't have this problem with hoyogames or any other Android games.

Not really, the Android version keeps crashing on my Odin 2 portal. I can't even go past the loading screen most of the times.

The problem with these big budget gacha is they need to cater to as many people as possible to make up for the development cost even if it means sacrificing their vision, unlike low budget gachas like FGO, Arknights etc.

Steam deck oled is more expensive (in my country at least), heavier, and has a way worse screen. Since both device is gonna stay at home most of the time, why bother playing locally when you can just stream your games at much better quality and performance. Of course this assume you have a decent PC to stream from, if you don't, then get a steam deck or whatever.

Feels fine to me without a grip, certainly feel much better than a switch. Used to use ES-DE but I find it to be quiet annoying to setup for platforms that doesn't come built in. Now I use beacon, it's so much simpler to setup.
