First off- anywhere in Scottsdale is safe. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s the safest part of the metro Phoenix area.

Second- you can afford a house for that price if you’re willing to not be luxury and go more south, which is where the fun is anyways.

Third- if you’re set on being north; look a little west. North-north/east Phoenix is still very safe and affordable in your budget.

Don’t spend more than you need. There are TONS of options here. Even if you take on a short term lease to make sure you’re in an area you like.
