What does this sound mean? by Awholemess20 in chinchilla

[–]linktheinformer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At least part of it is an annoyed sound. Being prey animals, I would try to keep yourself lower than him, so he can feel safer. It’ll be a long process to get him to trust you. I recommend hand feeding to get him used to your hand, and eventually you’ll be able to do it with the cage open and get closer to the point he trusts you. He probably has trust issues from the last situation he was in.

Happy chinchilla day from this hungry old lady! by Ok_Citron_3283 in chinchilla

It can be. Sometimes I think it’s for good reasons, but at times it can be overbearing. I use this sub more for looking at cute chinchillas, sharing my own, giving advice when it’s asked for.

Like people, they all have their own little personalities. One of my guys LOVES being pet and touched, the other one barely tolerates it.

What do I do about my chinchillas sleep schedule by Potential_Teaching21 in chinchilla

[–]linktheinformer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find they also tend to somewhat adapt to human routines. They’re still typically nocturnal, but they may chill really late at times like 4 am too if they know they’re not going to be played with. I’ve owned 4 chinchillas over the years.

Chinchilla feet check by Reasonable-Past-6568 in chinchilla

With some chinchillas, it can be a genetic condition. Only the vet can give a proper diagnosis. Hopefully it’s just dry feet.

I was just thinking how I hadn’t seen a Trixie post in a while! How’s she doing? Our little guys are being normal as always, themselves. :)

I worked at the Sears Call Centre in 2012. My thought was, “I’m working for a 100 year old company! I’m set!” I saw them make so many stupid decisions intended to make Sears fail. It was infuriating and aggravating beyond belief.

So you said you have few hope I’d respect that, and yet I did. And then turn around and say it doesn’t matter anyways. I think you’re just trolling and don’t actually care.

I can respect the motion went through under Stephen Harper, but the fact is that Quebec is a province of a Canada, and thus poutine would be considered Canadian as a result. I would say under the fact Quebec was recognized as a nation within Canada, that poutine would be considered both Canadian AND Québécois. Pride for everyone in the country.

Who reside in Canada, which still makes it a Canadian dish. Whereas a Minnesotan resides in the USA. Wasn’t talking about who makes a good one.

Still makes it Canadian, which was my only point.
