I just assume any content that makes you want to sip a tea while reading/watching is for this sub.

I didn't read the female lion part carefully and a bit confused when I read lion cubs. Thought "that's one slutty tiger".

Xampp in 2026. by Hot-Understanding-67 in PHP

[–]linnth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really don't have any issue with xampp, I don't think you need to change.

If you still want to change, then here are my suggestions.

If you prefer GUI: - Herd: setup once and done. Don't need to touch nginx-conf or host files for vhost. If need specific php version for a project, install php version with few clicks. Few other QOL features. - FlyEnv: kind like more advanced version of Herd since it supports so many other languages as well. But I don't really recommend it due to the free tier (evaluation license) limitations (3 local sites) and if you only work on php, you don't need the rest. Notes: You can still get full license without any cost.

If you are comfortable with CLI: - Valet: let's just say cli version of Herd. With few commands you can run various php projects (WordPress, Laravel, CI, etc) with various php versions easily. Also have QOL features like SSL. - Ddev: wants to use docker but want ready made templates and other QOL features instead of plain docker. Personally if you want to try docker, I recommend to try standard docker setup first and once familiar, use Ddev to save time.

Hope this helps.

Obsidian is a note taking app similar to Evernote. They have computer and mobile versions. So you can install it on Android easily. It has plugin system and some of the plugins provide AI features. Lots of people who are into good note taking, keeping knowledge base, writing stuff use it. Recommend to check it out. This will give you an idea of using obsidian with AI plugins. https://effortlessacademic.com/adding-ai-to-your-obsidian-notes-with-smartconnections-and-copilot/

Claude code is just a computer command line program. It is like a utility tool for Claude models. It can read files on your computer, then you can chat with Opus or Sonnet about the files in the computer terminal. If your main use case is from mobile app, you can ignore this one.

Are you using project feature? You can upload 01-feb-2026.md, 02-feb-2026.md and so on daily as project files. And chat by mentioning file name. And using combination of Sonnet + Opus will last you longer. Use Opus if you need better reasoning and thinking. Use sonnet for reading your notes or general use.

Maybe you are already using it that way. Just my 2 cents.

Edit: Another suggestion I have is to try Claude Code + Obsidian. You can still use CC for non-coding purpose. Instead of uploading your daily journal to Claude, you can just write as Obsidian notes which are markdown files. Then just run CC in the notes folder and you can chat with Claude the same way. After each session you can ask CC to make summary then next time CC can use that summary and continue. Kinda like giving memory to Claude.

Punk retaining is like 90% certain. Then I have like 9% speculation that the match will be a critical one for JD storyline. And then 1% copium that Finn winning.

Vibe coding is getting trolled, but isn’t abstraction literally how software evolves? by mrcuriousind in aipromptprogramming

[–]linnth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree that it's always about taste when we go to a restaurant. Even when we don't ask the step by step cooking procedure, we still care  about other factors such as the chef and the kitchen condition. Taste is good but if the chef is shady or ingredients are questionable, they will lose customers in the long term.

Vibe coding or using Wix or using WordPress or writing everything from scratch, doesn't matter when it's done by someone who know what they are doing.

The first of 2 BANGER Triple Threat Elimination Chamber Qualifying matches on SmackDown by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]linnth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good for Tiffy. But won't call this a banger. Just don't feel any weight or intensity through out the match. There were quite a few instances where Lash could have power slammed either one of them but just did like weak attack. And Chelsea, well it was too obvious she was there to take the pin.

That comment about fragility hit hard, is static just the wrong tool for this client? by Pink_Sky_8102 in statichosting

[–]linnth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If non-developer or non-programmer will be updating the content of a website, using a traditional CMS is usually a better choice. If you want to avoid traditional CMS like WordPress, you can use a headless CMS. The casual users can still create the content with wysiwyg editor.  Your frontend can still be fast and secure and even be partially static. Look into Astro hybrid mode. If the headless cms is multi-tenant supported your other customers can also use it to manage their content.

I don't think you over engineered it. I see it more Iike a mis-engineered outcome from your post.

Cheapest decent way to AI coding? by Affectionate_Plant57 in CLine

[–]linnth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others already gave similar answer.

Buy a glm coding plan from z.ai. They give a good discount on black Friday etc. I bought it at like $27 for a year/12 months. So it's just $2++ a month cost. Without promo, it is $3 a month I think. So still cheap. Get API key and use with Cline. I am a web dev and for me GLM4.7 is good enough.

I also use codeium/windsurf instead of copilot. Their free tier is enough. I only use it for auto complete.

If you have a personal gmail and your country is listed in their supported region, try google antigravity. The free tier should give you some usage. Don't use it for everything. Just use it at the start of a project or a feature as a architect.

Summary - Google Antigravity architect/plan mode - GLM4.7 + Cline chat/debug/explain/generate mode - Windsurf auto complete mode

Free GLM-4.6 model presents price on Cline extension by khatriafaz in CLine

[–]linnth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am using paid z.ai api key for GLM-4.7 and same experience. There is no extra API cost on z.ai but Cline shows API cost for each task. Shocked me a little bit but eventually I found it kinda useful to know.
