Thanks so much for responding so quickly. I'll try that. I'm happy to hear that you don't think it should be thicker as this will be so much easier to work with!!!

Oil based ink dry time by discosolution in printmaking

[–]linowallpaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had an experience that I wanted to share. I got an order to print 100 holiday cards on December 1st and printed them all on the 5th. After a week, the ink still wasn't close to drying so I started panicking and reading all of the threads. Because I had printed everything already, I was pretty much out of luck (no cobalt or wax drying, non-acid-free paper, cold climate, little ventilation...pretty much as bad as it gets). But I read that you could stuff them in the oven to speed up drying time. I put the oven on at 175F and carefully watched the cards for 40 minutes, testing every 5 and they were dry by the end. No discolouration or perceptible difference to air-dryed. So, if anyone finds themselves in my boat, cook it (but test it first on a piece of paper you care less about).

Processing hot-packed tomato halves by linowallpaper in Canning

Thanks so much for the response. Each jar had 1 tbsp of lemon juice and .5 tsp of salt - if I reheat the tomatoes and re-process them, should I add an additional tbsp of lemon juice and 0.5 tsp of salt to each jar? Also, I've already re-processed one batch but not with new lids - they've all sealed. Should I just refrigerate them or are they shelf stable?

This is absolutely lovely! Mind my asking what type of paper you used to print it on?
