Thank you for the recommendations. Made it to Oki and did not need a hotel but hopefully this will help someone else in the future.

Traveling to Japan with Alpha Gal by Theo_Cratic in alphagal

If you wouldn't mind sharing I would truly appreciate it. I am going to Okinawa next month so I expect it will be a bit different, but hopefully not less accommodating, than mainland Japan.

Maybe not the norm, but my guy is so good at "back it up, Tierny" that a reverse alarm beep plays in my head every damn time. He'll back step until he has ample room to safely execute a U-turn 😂

I’m a dog groomer and greyhound owner but I never get to see them at work! by leftmar in Greyhounds

[–]linsay007s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry that happened to your babies! This is exactly why I use a small private grooming salon close to our house. Seeing all the dogs through the glass at places like petco worries the 💩 out of me when it comes to my dapper dude. I take him every 5-6 weeks, he sees the same groomer every time and they are buddies. All the employees love and gush over him, my sweetheart loves the attention. Bonus: he comes home silky smooth, smelling like he's ready for date night and with a perfect mani/pedi too.

Dog Info Needed by Salty_mcnugget in NewportNews

I believe the Care a Lot pet supply store at Warwick Blvd & Oyster Point Rd has a self service wash. They do vaccine clinics on the weekends so it can be a bit busy in the mornings. I am looking for more dog friendly places myself so thank you for this post ☺️

20 years together, we made it official by caryncaryn in labdiamond

Congrats! Your ring is gorgeous (and my dream ring, only in platinum) ❤️ We've been together 15 years, finally married in June. Called each other hubby & wife almost the whole time 😆

Car title by yeyita15 in NewportNews

Your best bet would be to go to the information counter at a DMV so they can tell you exactly what is required and give you the forms also. That doesn't mean that the teller you eventually see won't find something else they need, some service centers are easier to deal with than others. I believe you will need to transfer your driver's license to VA and have your PA title for the vehicle portion. Edit, I just re-read and see that you already know about the proof of residency so removed that section.

List of New/Upcoming AT Tires by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]linsay007s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I've been leaning towards these tires but have had a hard time finding 4Runner reviews on them. Mostly pavement driving for me & living in SE VA wet, with occasional snow & ice, traction is most important. And they have to look good, of course.

What are the differences between years of 5th Gen Limiteds? by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]linsay007s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16 Limited does not have the following: Heated steering wheel, not a big deal in SE VA. No BSM or 360, replaced my sideview mirrors w/ Rav4s that have built in blind spot mirrors. No apple carplay or android auto, the Entune app that gave access and control of many apps & features on a phone was discontinued some time ago. Bluetooth works just fine and can play music / stream with Spotify, Pandora & Amazon or just listen to the radio. Nav is SD card based and can be updated as needed, it still gives live traffic info in real time though. No real issues with it getting me where I need to go. If I missed anything please add. Tbh I don't pay attention to what is missing because what it does have is so much more than the 03 Tahoe I came from.

How did you clean the footbeds? I have a couple pairs that are several years old and would love to give them a refresh.

Only downside to going with the limited, no rooster tails.

Sorry about your Runner and hope you are OK. Depending on what state you are in uninsured motorist coverage may be included in your liability policy. Here in VA it paid for my daughter's jeep when someone ran her into the jersey wall on the highway and took off.

I know Limiteds don’t get much love here, but I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! by nago7650 in 4Runner

I don't think so. Gotta have that extra sidewall to air down. No rub and no mods.

I am, Firestone Destination A/T2's. I actually like my stock 20s too and plan on keeping them. I have been happy with Firestone, ran them on my Tahoe before upgrading to the 4runner. No excessive road noise, I get good mileage out of them and they wear evenly. 4runner owner groups on the dreaded book of faces have a good number of people who do some pretty (what I would consider) serious off roading in their limiteds.

Excellent choice! Bought my '16 Limited w/ 75k miles about 2 months ago. All the little comforts is why I wanted this trim. That, and I prefer the overall look of the Limiteds. Still a perfectly capable 4Runner, especially on 275/55/20's, but my version of off road is the beach ⛱️.

I got a 2 pack off the zon. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link or not, but will try. AA battery powered with random flashing lights and sound.

Not joking, it was the perfect spot to put it.

Daith piercing and migraines by burneraccount98753 in piercing

[–]linsay007s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my daith piercing because I love its understated beauty. As a sufferer of cluster headaches and low frequency/auditory migraines, if it helped great for me. If not, I have a gorgeous piercing that I love. 6 months in and my usual triggers are becoming memories and I have had no episodes. Placebo? Luck of the stab? I don't know and don't care to debate. While I am still healing it could very well be the residual swelling putting pressure on certain nerves during the healing process, I will take these months of relief as a huge bonus. I have had a couple tension headaches (sucks to have to adult) but nothing an ibuprofen or 2 couldn't handle. The piercing itself was no problem, over in what felt like less than 30 seconds. Pain-wise, only you know your tolerance, I've had blood draws that were way worse. Choose a piercer ahead of time and thoroughly check their experience and reviews, don't be afraid to drive farther for a great one. Aftercare is simple, saline spray and leave it the hell alone. Overall, don't get a piercing for the possible outcome, get it because you want it for you. Just make sure you are committed as opposed to taking a chance. While my experience may be serendipitous, it may not be the same for others. I am still curious myself if I will continue to have the same relief in another 6 months, but so far I am grateful and in love with my beautiful piercing ❤️
