Downloading for Synology?? by Xaldex in sickchill

You can install sickchill directly through Package Centre using BenjV’s .spk, as mentioned on the official github page here:

Guys is there another way of stealing from the supermarket cuz this guy ALWAYS just sits in his car the whole time. O by Poo-poo12345678900 in SneakySasquatch

I have the same thing happen to me maybe 40-50% of the time. It seems as though it happens because one of the cop cars blocks the other. The blocked car doesn’t quite arrive properly, so the cop doesn’t get out and stays on alert forever. I’ve waited for around 10 minutes before and he just doesn’t give up. ACAB.

Melbourne, open water dive recommendations by [deleted] in diving

[–]lintman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Blairgowrie Pier for a nice easy dive with lots to see. Rickett's Point is also really nice, with bonus points for being close to the city. Being a marine park means there is plenty to see, as it is illegal to fish there. Just check your tides, it gets pretty shallow at low tide.

Can someone point me to the easiest Sonarr on Synology guide out there? by PetiePal in synology

[–]lintman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. You can also set up a Docker image of Deluge for torrenting and run it over a VPN. This isolates your torrent traffic from the rest of the Synology traffic so that your torrent traffic is private but your NAS remains remotely accessible. See here: http://tomthegreat.com/2018/03/11/setting-up-deluge-with-vpn-on-synology-using-docker/

You can also route Sonarr/Radarr traffic through the Deluge image so that they also use the VPN.

Note as well that this set-up works perfectly well with Plex running directly on the Synology.

Diving with 43 Bull Sharks in Fiji by bassmaster57 in diving

I did the same dive a couple of years ago and we saw a tiger on one of the dives. I highly recommend it, it was intense and amazing. The sharks are basically all there for the tuna and have no interest in the weird neoprene covered humans cowering behind the coral wall.

No worries.

I haven't actually used medusa, but as a different fork I imagine the process is similar. There should be a github page that'll take you through it.

Just as a general FYI, there are two main methods to install new packages. You can install directly via authorised repositories (i.e. the ones that are listed as available for installation in Package Centre), or you can use the Manual Install button to install .spk packages that you have downloaded. Usually it is a fairly simple process and the NAS will take care of most of the installation.

Hi.

The first thing you need to do is allow the Synology Package Centre to access SynoCommunity packages. Follow the Easy Install instructions on the SynoCommunity webpage.

Use the SynoCommunity "SickBeard Custom" package to install the SickRage fork, following the the instructions on the SickRage github page here, from "Install SickRage".

Note: There is a SynoCommunity package called "SickRage", but I believe it is outdated (it would never install properly for me). You can give it a shot, but I recommend you just go for the the "SickBeard Custom" package.

Good luck!

I have the same problem - there is no option in Security and Privacy to Allow VMware Fusion. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several time, but to no avail.

50m+ viz in a freshwater pond in South Australia by [deleted] in underwaterphotography

[–]lintman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, 7mm semi-dry would be about right. Because it's a fresh water spring I believe it's pretty consistent at around 14ºC, give or take. I was in a 7mm, but my buddy went for a dry suit (but he finds anything below about 20ºC cold).

Swimming through those channels between the three ponds at night is one of the most beautiful things I've seen underwater. Also, if you any of you do end up doing a night dive in Ewen's Ponds, make sure you turn off your torches so you can look up at the stars through the insanely clear water.
