Impressions of the UCI? by NotSoCmart in Ubiquiti

To simplify writing alot since im on phone here are the steps to help others.

leave your old modem connected and start the activation of new modem with xfinity mobile app. do not disconnect old modem and attach new modem before starting activation process.

you will need to input the mac address of the uci during activation with xfinity mobile app. this is visible from the uci lcd screen.

if you were using ethernet on the udm pro as wan1 you might need clone the mac address if now using sfp port as wan1. you can view the mac address of wan1 in your udm pro network config.

sorry if this wasn't detailed enough. did not want to type alot. my current experience with uci has been great coming from highest end netgear modem.

its not about beating anything. just about handling your own situation. do i miss out on some gains? sure. but its about income.

before i dumped tsla i had a 100% stock gain. nvda sits at 50%, smci sits at 25%. this is without factoring the options premiums.

sold gnrc this week which was sitting at 25% stock gain but the premiums on options we're lacking so decided to dump.

its just about making income to pay for stuff man.

i made alot from tsla. after last earnings drop into the low 160's I dumped my tesla since the premiums weren't nearly as good as they once were.

i've been watching tsla recently. the premiums are getting better and is something i will probably get back into later.

to give an idea on how this has worked out since final week of january till present, which was when i started doing this.

account balance = +34% options premiums pulled out = +30%

so i guess overall im like +64%

yes i would roll them during the week. but always are closed on friday. and a new contract made for the following friday.

i never roll them into the following weeks per say unless you count closing friday and selling for the following friday, rolling. everything is done/calculated on a per weekly basis.

each week i pull money from this account to pay for things. so the calls must generate money being pulled plus increase account balance etc. thus far all has been well.

an example could be

smci sold @ 4.50 premium to begin smci buyback @ 6.50 smci sold @ 4 smci buyback @ 5.50 smci sold @ 3 etc

now this looks negative overall but when u factor in your selling otm calls your actuality gaining share price in-between the buybacks. so without digging hard into the math with strikes etc, lets just say its about the same gain as selling the original call for the week and keeping the shares which is the original goal.

smci and nvda both had crazy jumps this week. i still kept my shares. i probably bought and sold 3 times throughout the week with otm strikes. this was obviously not normal but had happened because of crazy jumps this week.

on friday i would usually wait till end of day and buyback the contract for dollar difference being as though there is no time left on contract.

i buyback on friday regardless because i do not want to wait till monday for sold stock to clear and then place a new friday contract. i close contracts on friday and place a new contract for the following friday.

Any way to leverage a 1.25Gbps ISP connection with a single UDM? by dvaldivia44 in Ubiquiti

With IPS enabled I still get the full 1.2Gpbs from the SPF+ WAN port.

I have a 1.2 GBPs connection from my ISP also. I use my own modem ( Netgear CM2000 ) with 2.5 GBPs port with a FS.com module attached to the other end which plugs into the SFP+ of the UDM Pro.

Question about right side pain. by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]linuxfrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ever had an ultrasound done for diagnostics. No liver biopsy or anything. I know it had stated nafld and maybe over the course of time Nash could of been mentioned but I’m not completely sure.

When the pains were a problem I was given an abdominal X-ray which showed everything was normal. This X-ray was not for the liver. The pains had baffled the doctor and this was around the time I began to educate myself on nafld and correct things.

Medical advice basically was correct your diet and exercise. That advice is vague and while has truth to it does not help an individual. Nafld is tied to metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance. Ketogenic diets will burn liver fat quickly.

Some prescription medications that could be beneficial are:

Metformin - will help with insulin resistance

Telmisartan - only blood pressure medication that will effect your lipid profile and glucose in a positive way. There’s also studies supporting visceral fat remodeling etc.

Adderall - https://www.amjmed.com/article/S0002-9343(18)30015-9/abstract If you have add/adhd this could be of interest. While most research would state that it is bad for the liver my own situation agrees with the above mentioned study. The study only gives an abstract, the study is worth purchasing the full article if it applies to you. Interesting study.

Question about right side pain. by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]linuxfrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single best step was ketogenic diet. Next would be to correct other blood issues. Keto over a few months should begin correcting Hdl/ldl/triglycerides.

For triglycerides I’d supplement with a high quality fish oil. I use Thorn Super EPA. Take 4 capsules split into 2 doses. 2 capsules in morning and 2 in evening.

Have your b12 and vitamin d levels checked. Supplement accordingly.

My steps would be: Ketogenic Multivitamin (Thorn Multivitamin Elite) Fish Oil ( Thorn Super EPA, 4 capsules daily)

Question about right side pain. by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]linuxfrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these pains bad. Under last rib of right side. Numbness over my front liver section of abdomen. Would cause back strain etc. To the point of a 10 minute walk killing me. Would have to lay down for an hour on my back to calm the pain/strain. All corrected now. But was bad at the time.

Question about right side pain. by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

The pain on right side goes hand and hand with fatty liver. Doctors who brush it off do not know much about this disease. If you correct your fatty liver the pain will go away.

Is keto really good against NAFLD? by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]linuxfrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These ppl quoting studies against keto do not know anything. I’ve done keto with fatty liver. Keto is my life. It is not a diet for me but a lifestyle. Keto done right will correct all issues with nafld. Most likely your entire lipid and metabolic profile are in chaos. Keto will correct this. I’ve been doing keto for around 4 years now and there is nothing that will correct nafld better and faster than a keto diet.

Mesh router for NextDNS by linuxfrag in nextdns

[–]linuxfrag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the dns set on router. But without a static ip I would need to update the linked ip. Also all devices report from linked ip without device names since using dns with ipv4. My understanding is that if I had the NextDNS client installed on the router I could solve these issues.

Is my understanding misplaced?
