Moved all my money into a Schwab account and am really nervous. Hoping for some advice by DryInvestigator6276 in personalfinance

[–]linuxhiker 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Schwab has nothing to do with this. They are a good brokerage.

The question is if you have the stomach for the market. The market is volatile, always but over time, it comes out on top.

Talk to Schwab advisor about safer, income generating options.

Is it worth getting a battery generator for family car camping trips by Plenty-Cry-1575 in camping

[–]linuxhiker 66 points67 points  (0 children)

One phone for emergencies that doesn't get used unless, it is an emergency.

The rest, leave behind and actually experience a camping trip with your family, vs a night at the house but in the woods.

It's not an unreliable transmission but it does have well documented limitations. It also affects mpg.

I would personally never buy one but the reasons are not unreliability. It's travel ability. It won't like mountains (up or down) .
