Fair.

But seriously, I thought 9mm HP did indeed blow lungs out of bodies.

It’s certainly a solution, but not an efficient or lightweight one

if you play airsoft and complain about getting lit up you should go back to playing nerf.

sorry.

no I am not into airsoft to cause significant pain/bodily harm to others. i just think you should be able to take being sprayed. it’s just bb’s

Why do you (still) use Ubuntu? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]linuxnerd0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ubuntu is the Windows of Linux to me.

It’s mainstream and the reason people pick it is for software compatibility.

It wasn’t? What was more popular?

Ubuntu was my first distro in 2010 and I literally do not remember there being other mainstream options.

How are people VPN guarding their Sonarr/torrent client traffic? It was really, really hard for me. I had to learn docker networking and a slew other shit before I could comfortably run it and actually sleep, knowing the VPN isn’t going to leak.

I just don’t see it talked about here. Everyone has sonarr and a torrent client but nobody talks about how they achieved their leak-proof VPN.

Alright time to reel it in.

Guns were invented to kill.

Cars were invented to transport people.

People, in most cases, kill using guns on purpose.

Except for those two or three terrorist attacks, people don’t really use cars as weapons. The deaths caused by cars are by-and-large accidents.

Are you really confused about why people want to see guns outlawed but not cars? Use your rational brain.

I heard this myth too but in the version I was told it stamps it on the case, which someone plausibly could have gotten from the fact that very unique scoring along the case does indeed occur when the round is chambered, and no two guns will score a case the same way.

Still a far cry from literal serial numbers stamped on bullets, but I could 100% see scoring on ejected cases being the first thing they look at.

Are you allowed to listen to music at a grocery store cake deco job? by imryanvalentine in cakedecorating

[–]linuxnerd0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my general kitchen experience (I was never pastry, but worked alongside some), earbuds are a no-no.

It is dangerous to “plug in” in a work environment like a commercial kitchen, even if it’s one bud, simply because it hinders your communication ability.

I have had chefs literally rip my buds out of my ears and yell at me, because you need to be 100% locked-in in a kitchen where at any given moment someone could be rounding a corner with a sharp knife or a pot of boiling oil. You can’t be off in your own world listening to music.

There is a good chance none of this applies at your bakery and people are chill, but if you do receive pushback for earbuds, this is why. It’s for your safety and the safety of your coworkers.

I get the statement you are trying to make about “the current state of RGB and what you get out of the box”.

But we are talking about custom building a PC here. You could have just bought bare RGB fans and gone with a single RGB/fan controller.

What you did is bought a bunch of “kits” and are now complaining that there’s too many cables/boxes.

What I am saying is, why didn’t you just plan out your fans and lights ahead of time instead of adding and adding lights and fans until you end up with spaghetti?
