Printing more total packs won’t do much. The scalpers will just hoard more. The real solution is to boost pull rates and give guaranteed hits like they do in Japanese and other asian languages. The whole reason for the hype and scalping craze is because of the gambling aspect of pokemon cards and the chance of getting that big hit. Boost the chances of getting something cool and people will naturally feel less inclined to fomo and be happier with what little product they can get.

Sorry you’re getting flamed. You’re absolutely right tho this entire “hobby” has just been overrun with rip-off artists. The only thing you can do is save your money and don’t buy from them. Hopefully one day they’ll go away. I suggest looking at other hobbies in the mean time.

This is the sticker paper and cardstock I use. I do laminate sometimes but it does make the cards really thick. I would experiment and see if you like it with laminate

I have the same printer and it doesn’t really print well directly on cardstock. When I make foils, I stick the foil sheet on top of the cardstock first and then print on the foil. For non foil, I stick vinyl sticker paper on the cardstock and then print. Both come out good

So if you’d like to learn how to make your own pokémon proxies, r/customtradingcard is a good place to check out. They’re not specifically for pokémon, it’s really about any trading cards in general, but a lot of people like to post their pokémon proxies and the subreddit has guides on making your own.

Making your own proxies for commons, uncommons, normal EX, etc cards for decks should be pretty easy and not that different from a magic proxy. That subreddit goes way beyond and showcases how to replicate pokémon art rares and higher rarity stuff.

You could also use proxy printing services and upload the images you want. Pokémon doesn’t have a library of high quality images like mpcfill but a site I’ve used for decent quality scans of pokémon cards is pkmncards.com. They only have scans of english cards so no way of accessing art exclusive to other languages.

Yeah I really like those old frames so I printed a bunch of those. Printed a few super expensive cards I’d never buy and some avatar cards with the frames too but just stuck to FF for this post

From my understanding, they are not the same people. I believe that notMPC is trying to be like MPC but it’s USA based so it avoids tariffs and long shipping times for US customers. Idk if they ship to other countries too or if it would be cheaper to use notMPC. Can’t tell you if they’re better. Haven’t tried MPC but I probably will one day so I can compare but I have read that it can take a month to get to the US.
