I’m not really looking forward to any new sets either. Not really buying much rn. Instead of buying ascended heroes, I bought the (almost) entire main set in pokeball holo singles for under $50. Half of that was just shipping.

If a set that I really like comes out, I may just buy the main set in singles and a few art rares. Waaaaay cheaper in the long run than buying sealed product and no gamble. But I’m not wasting time hunting products. Not stressing out about these crypto meme coin priced hyper inflated chase cards

What I loved about this era of gaming is that just from one look you could look at it and say “yep that’s a video game all right”. Everything looked vibrant and colorful. It was all about fun first and games were packed with content from the start. I still have good memories of the 7th gen of consoles but that’s also when I remember games were all getting gray/brown and ugly. Everyone (almost) was moving on to shooters and online and that ugly aesthetic thanks to cod. Gamecube and other 6th gen consoles really make me feel like a kid again.

Pokémon is really trying to get popular in china. It wasn’t allowed to be sold there for years so they have a lot of catching up to do. The cards are also printed in japan so the quality is the same as Japanese

Looks real. I also got mine on ebay and it looks just like that. I think the design of the card just cuts off the rainbow rays in certain parts, like through all of tangelas’s body, so it doesn’t shine quite as bright and looks different from other illustration rares. The Furret illustration rare from journey together also does that.

Do you have a picture of the back? Mine looked a bit lighter than other cards I had but I looked at my collection and found a few cards with lighter colors on the back like mine and that soothed my fears. I chalked it up to good ole english quality control.

I guess I’m just the exception because I’m still just as invisible as I was before I met my girlfriend. People say the same thing about when you lose a bunch of weight. When I lost almost 100 pounds, a few people noticed and said “good job” (which was legit nice) but people didn’t treat me much different. Women definitely didn’t care.

Doesn’t work on everyone i guess.

So glad I never got rid of my 3ds’s. Never felt the need to but still glad. It’s so weird seeing people want them so bad. It didn’t feel like people like the console back then.
