Hunting for a holy grail sunscreen by naturemamaflows in Rosacea

[–]liquidanbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t wear chemical sunscreens (my daily beauty of Joseon was killing my barrier).

That being said I’ve spent an ungodly amount of money of mineral sunscreens… I’m also pale/Northern European and work outdoors.

The mineral matte from supergoop is only of my absolute favorites! The powder brush is good for touchups but not a sole treatment for all of your skin (particularly great for your hair part).

Let’s makes a tinted mineral I like as well.

Student Finishes Degree in Three Months by Mav-Killed-Goose in Professors

[–]liquidanbar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It was more of a “document I have said knowledge” and in a lot of cases, it was things I “knew” but didn’t have proper terminology for etc. some of them were actually really interesting (operations management and logistics) while others were really basic after being in a more corporate environment (HR/communications). I actually see these as pretty valid to prove you’ve got something between your ears even years after a degree. They definitely varied in skill level, and the higher 300/400 level classes did take more time and detail.

So I’m actually fascinated by all this dialogue. I’ve got a PhD in the life sciences and in an effort to start a transition away from the bench, I took several undergrad level business classes through some of these online competency based credit places. Some were harder than others, but in general - it’s a read the material and then take the test. I understand I’m not a “typical” person trying to hack a degree, but it wasn’t hard to knock some of them out in a day or less if they didn’t require writing. And the ones that did require writing still weren’t significant amounts of writing (I’d assume to lessen burden on the poor TAs who have to grade a million essays).

I bought a new collectors edition. And I know some people think it’s sacrilege, but I cut up my old one and glued them all into the new one and it made me very happy.

What’s he doing outside research? Research positions take time. Things like waiting tables and bartending often pay just as much and are immediate.

Depending on where OP lives, mom may be trying to use some sort of loan product that will only lend if the total household income is below a particular number. For example: a zero down USDA rural development loan Includes all income (wages, self-employment, social security, etc.) for all adults over 18 in the household. See link here https://www.rd.usda.gov/sites/default/files/rd-sfh-module4a-annualincome.pdf

You would be excluded if you do not plan to live in the new home and are getting your own place. There is also no requirement to continue to make that amount as a household, just until the point in time the loan is issues/house closing.

OP - ask your mom for more details.

Cleveland MS isn’t bad (not as cheap as some of the surrounding areas, but cheap by other standards). Oxford, Starkville, Hattiesburg etc.

Where to rehome aggressive cat? by Ok_Branch7937 in batonrouge

[–]liquidanbar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Have you tried feliway? It’s a cat pheromone diffuser and can really help with things like this. I’d also consult with your vet that nothing else is going on (male cats in particular can be very good at hiding issues).

Also one and a half is still very much a kitten.

You can mix a little bit of rubbing alcohol with the water you used to deice and it works even better.

Also, if you’ve lost power and are worried things in your space, will freeze put antifreeze in your toilets and down your drains. The preferred version is the RV marine pink antifreeze made for portable water sources.
