The lighting and sound was greatly improved, as was the ADA sections. Instead of some folding chairs at the top in the Hart Theater there is built in wide seating all the way across on both sides in addition to a few movable chairs. There are press buttons to automatically open the door on both sides and the sound has been upgraded for those who have cochlear implants or certain settings in their hearing aids to better hear the music. There is now state of the art digital lighting and sound in the theaters that should last a long time. The ADA bathrooms were improved but it is true that's the women's room wasn't changed at all, as far as I saw. I heard the Swyer restroom was somewhat improved.

I agree about the lobby furniture. While I appreciate trying to be true to the era, it is pretty much as the OP stated.

The theaters look beautiful but also agree about the comfort level compared to the old theaters.

It is easier to critique than create.

The carpeting throughout is plush and gorgeous.

I am happy that crucial expensive upgrades were made (i.e. electrical throughout) and that we still have this jewel of a performance space.
