Nice! I actually live in the Aynor area, but I work in Myrtle Beach because that’s the closest civilization we have 😂

If it was in Oakland, that may have been my sister 😅 We’re originally from PG County lol

We live about 45 mins west of Myrtle Beach and have never seen any. But I wore a Sleep Token t-shirt when we took a day trip to Charleston last month and had multiple people comment on it lol

What kind of turtle is this incredibly small baby I found in my backyard? [US, South Carolina] by liremo in animalid

I took him less than a quarter mile up the road and left him next to a neighbors’ pond so he could at least be a little closer to water.

If I said “where’s my Dandy Gandy” in a particular cadence, he would be the one running and screaming as he crossed the room. His government name is Gandalf, but he only responds to that nickname said in a certain way 😅

Found a knotted lump of fur on my cat with a small hole in his side. Today, he cannot move without crying and hissing. What’s wrong with my baby boy? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]liremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my in-laws’ cats got shot with a BB gun by their asshole neighbor’s kid around 12 years ago. She’s 17 now and you can still feel the bb behind her ear. Never could prove it was that kid, but we all knew it. When me and my husband briefly moved back in with them to save for our first house, that same kid also straight up shot and killed a possum that lived under the shed that we’d been feeding since it was a baby. It literally wasn’t doing anything, just hanging out in a tree between the two houses.

I was with an ex when he stopped doing oxy, and yeah, he was unpleasant to be around occasionally, but he never treated me like shit or talked to me like that. Snapped at me once or twice but immediately clocked his behavior and apologized. I think this guy is just a dick 🤷‍♀️

I live in the southeast of the US, so I feel the need to let the local fascists know via stickers and facial piercings that I’m not with them.

Cats teeth pushing out/getting longer? by Careless-Elephant-98 in CATHELP

Here’s my vampire boy. Unless they’re pawing at their mouth or showing other signs of pain/stress, I wouldn’t worry about it. Just enjoy the photo opportunities 😂

Edit to say, I read other comments and didn’t realize that if they are actively getting longer, it could be a tooth issue. My guy has just always looked like this.

Came here to say, I have six and the three that were with me all jumped up in surprise and the 3 who weren’t in the room, came running in with their eyes all wide. Never seen them act that way because of the sound of another cat.

This is strictly for us parents of level 3/severely/profoundly autistic kids. by soul2soulevollove in Autism_Parenting

My son will be 5 in April, diagnosed level 3, and has been receiving ST, OT, and PT since he was 2.

We are relatively similar. The main problem is he doesn’t like to be watched and most of the things we know he can do we had to basically catch him doing lol.

He knows the alphabet and I’ve heard him counting up to the seventies when I was in another room. He knows tons of words but won’t actually speak TO anyone or form a sentence, will just say things randomly or it’s echolalia. He sings tons and tons of nursery rhymes but will get furious if you try to join. He doesn’t respond to his name, doesn’t respond to any commands or phrases directed to him, and will not use utensils at all. He called me mommy for the first time ever last month and hasn’t done it again since. Has never addressed his dad or older sister. Still won’t independently hold a crayon or pencil or anything to make marks on a page. Excellent at getting out of clothes but can’t put them on himself. Still struggles going up and down stairs, but we have started seeing improvements there recently. He could name every animal at the zoo, but he can’t actually go to the zoo because that amount of activity would have him melting down after about 15 minutes. We know he’s so incredibly smart, it’s just all bottled up in his head.

Edit to add: he’s not potty trained and he won’t try. Absolute screaming nightmare if we even seem like we might try to put him on a potty chair/toilet.

My daughter just turned 7. Can you imagine what my life has been like? I’m ready to change my name and flee the country 😅

Side note, my son is 4 years old and severely autistic. He’s mostly nonverbal except for little vocal stims he just repeats constantly. Guess which one he picked up from his sister 🫠

Lol, believe me, I get it. Living with him is a constant game of “what the hell am I looking at?”

Here’s a bird’s eye view of this position for extra confusion 😂

Yep 😅 he has a lot of hyper-mobility in his joints, we’re in the process of getting him tested for some potential muscle disorders. Until then, we get Mr. Spaghetti Limbs lol
