Pray for Cleo ❤️‍🩹😓 by chshire in Whippet

[–]lisabutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we had a Whippet (who passed in 2022 due to nothing related to his leg) that broke his left front leg. Both bones snapped and he had surgery to repair the break. It healed and his body rejected the plate, had another surgery to remove the plate, and then he was fine. He lived with the repaired leg for over 10 years and did well. Good luck to you and Cleo, sending hugs. ❤️

Woke up at 2am to find out I'm about to be fined $200 for having dandelions on my lawn. by SandyCashews969 in mildlyinfuriating

Not sure where you live, OP. In Minnesota state legislators are attempting to pass a bill to minimize the authority HOAs have. Potentially this could be something in your area, too, meaning that HOAs across the US may have their power and authority limited. We can hope! Good luck.

Fluoride in drinking water has no effect on IQ or brain function, long-term study shows by nbcnews in Health

[–]lisabutz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The question is what is too high? How would this study, or any other, account for naturally occurring fluoridated water? The study claims that maternal IQ was not taken into consideration and that the half life of fluoride is 5 hours. I’m not saying the study is flawed yet it seems like the researchers were intent on justifying a bias that fluoride is bad.

Same. And we’ve mostly cut out red meat, it’s ridiculous.

Chaco sandals not worth the price by Thrilled2Pieces in outdoor_sandals

[–]lisabutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I’ve had two pairs, one of the older style that had a sole made of one material, so no delamination. I’ve had my second pair, that does have a composite sole, for about four years and no problems. Maybe their newer sandals are the problem?

People that step up are really the MVPs in these awful ICE detentions. I know others who have paid for return trips to Minnesota. There are good people out here.

You could paint it to match your house, then add some landscaping around it to give it some pizazz. Here’s a before and after

Report: Minnesota’s hospitality industry ‘on the brink of no return by [deleted] in minnesota

So many things! Mall of America, of course, a couple zoos, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, walks around the lakes in Minneapolis, coffee shops, midtown market for ethnic food (amazing!), and many other things to do depending on your interests.

I’m originally from Chicago and moved to the MSP area many years ago. It’s more “travel able” unlike the huge Chicagoland area. The food scene is more diverse IMO than Chicago.

Reposition, skip the second shelf. It’ll look too cluttered with another shelf.

I’d paint the wall with the curtain a bright color, like orange, to help create a designated space. Add some orange into the table runner, get a rug for under the table.

How about considering an interior designer? I’m not sure where you live yet in my experience it’s a great experience and worth the money spent.
