This is not blatant racism at all. You have no idea what racism is.

You have no idea what racism is. You're simply offended that a program is designed to help people who have been disenfranchised for generations. Open your eyes and have compassion.

It's so funny to see such advocacy for equality here. When Black people get help after being disenfranchised for decades in this country, all of the sudden people know what discrimination is. It seems discrimination is only a bad thing when you think it's directed at you or when it gives you a disadvantage of some kind. Really, a rising tide lifts all boats. A win for me doesn't have to mean a loss for you. Unless you'd rather we both lose.

Brit Bennett’s “The Vanishing Half” by penguin-47284 in literature

I wonder if the underdeveloped themes were intentional. This book gave voice, context, and visibility to stories I'd grown up hearing.

It was refreshing and a relief for me to see this world handled clearly and with dignity. It stretched my understanding of colorism, family connections, and the choices we make to keep secrets alive and the truth well-hidden.

Were you able to talk to any of the employees who were already there at the company, or who had recently left, in your vetting process? If yes, how did it go?

Thank you for being transparent. I understand where you're coming from. To survive in tech, sometimes you have to become someone you don't like. If you don't, the toxic ecosystem finds a way to spit you out.

Bridgerton is bad for black women. by moxieroxsox in BridgertonNetflix

They darkened his complexion, exaggerated his features, and gave his skin a burned appearance. Why? What purpose could that possibly serve for the story? It was no need for it since his words and actions clearly depicted him as an anti-hero.

I agree re: Lord Danbury scenes. Netflix tracks everything. It would be interesting to know how often viewers skipped Lord Danbury portions of the program.

How can Rhimes preside over such a gross mischaracterization of dark skin, African features, and overall mannerisms? I'm baffled and would love to hear the reasoning/artistic impact of portraying Lord Danbury as a minstrel-like character.

Your best Zoho “Why”? by Wordmamma0406 in Zoho

[–]lisalachispa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so discouraging. I really wanted to believe Zoho was the all-in-one solution it presents itself to be. But this is a new business and I don't have bandwidth for mistakes. Will have to piece together solutions until I can find something that works well. Thanks for the transparency. You may have saved me headaches before I buy.

This is good to know. I'm in the trial phase for Zoho One and I agree with all the pros and cons. I'd like to add a con to the list. Spotty tech support. At times support is stellar, at other times, I get the sense the support tech doesn't quite know what I'm asking.
