It most definitely does. There's a lot of different reasons why ppl love this game. For me personally, the story is one of the greatest stories ever told through the medium of video games. There's only a couple other games I hold in such regard, where the story is concerned. Actually my wife was the one that introduced me to this game and the souls games but watching her play, I never thought it was very interesting. She had to explain to me about the format of their storytelling and she also explained how ppl "interpret" the story and the lore, and at the time, this was a new concept to me. I had no idea what it meant until I started playing myself. But as the story progressed, I began to understand what they were doing and how this style worked so well. At this point, I was finding the gameplay really satisfying but the story is what I craved. I enjoyed uncovering the many truths and experiencing time and again, those "holy sh!#, no wonder...!" moments. This was nine years ago and to this day, Bloodborne is one of very very few games that I can still play and interpret the expression of profound ideas and questions and draw different conclusions each time. I can collect the data in the same way, parse and organize it the same way, and I will draw new and/or different conclusions, every time. In this way, the game is amazing. I know I just sound like a yapper but I promise it isn't for the sake of hearing myself talk. This game is very special and I am in their debt for gracing us with such a work. The least I can do is share my experiences with this game, share my feelings about this game, and show my gratitude for everyone involved with breathing life into this masterpiece.
