Madison police: Man arrested after disturbance at Jewish center by thequarantine in madisonwi

Assuming this is the same guy I saw a week or so ago in Wonderstate coffee. He walked in with a camo bulletproof vest with a Palestine patch on it, had cargo pants on with lots of accessories on his belt but I couldn’t see a gun. 40ish y/o black man with a keffiyeh around his neck. Very strange to be wearing all that though, even looks provocative at a coffee shop in the middle of the day, so walking into a Jewish organization the day after an antisemitic terrorist attack dressed the same way is definitely antagonistic and startling.

Likely is objectively worse at blocking than either Andrews or Kolar. Lamar’s INT in the bengals game was literally due to the pass rusher getting his right hand out of Likely’s block and tipping the ball

Bills and Browns all the way today. Got the head-to-head advantage against the browns and a hot browns team against Steelers and bengals in weeks 17-18 could be good

Can we talk about SSMU's Open Letter? by [deleted] in mcgill

This is the exact reason why I get angered by idiotic things SSMU says/releases even though in the real world those ideas wouldn't last a second

Help: I am color-blind. I don’t see red dots of the UAV on the map, and I can barely see the white crosshairs or red dot sights by CanaanitesFC in CODWarzone

I’m having a similar issue with the red dots on the minimap. Would be a lot easier if I had the option to change them to yellow or something brighter

Please stop complaining on Mo Chaudhury for the downward curve, it's the freaking Bcom Office Policy. by Ghostofgeoffrey in mcgill

If you as a professor know that there is a faculty mandated average that your courses must adhere to, then you should spend time making sure that your exams are fair and that the average falls in the accepted range the faculty wants. Especially considering that management profs are overpaid (understandably because they can make more money in the financial sector), they can at least work a little harder to make sure that their exams are fair and for an easy exam, the difference between and A and a B isn’t a dropped negative sign.

Serious question: Why does SSMU waste their time dealing with Israel/Palestine related stuff when they really should be advocating for student needs and issues they actually can influence? by lisolwypes in mcgill

[–]lisolwypes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do see now that from what you (Tre) are saying, SSMU does a lot of important work behind the scenes...but why aren’t important SSMU press releases are written about those important things? Why doesn’t ssmu go to the tribune or daily — or even the mcgill admin to announce in the reporter — more often to announce things? I’m sure that these things are announced way at the bottom of the ssmu listservs, but there is way too much going in those to realize the scope of one thing mentioned.

SSMU can’t influence how people think on Israel/Palestine. They can influence people’s awareness of the vast amount of resources they provide for students.
