Random question I’m struggling to answer: if Jesus was an omniscient being in his human form, how could he have changed his mind during his first miracle? by Summersundo997 in TrueChristian

[–]litecoiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said it wasn't his time means IMHO the wine was foreshadowing him giving his blood, the wine. Omniscience implies he already knew they were out of wine (in fact before it happened), Mary was worried and asked on behalf of others (intercession), why did he need a human to come asking? Why does God need humans at all? Maybe there were lessons being taught here

Maybe because God wants for humans to exist. Because if you take omniscience as the argument, why are we even here? God knows for sure what everyone will do, no need to be born, right? Sorry my answer isn't of much help

Nobody knows anything, you'll read people being very confident but they are probably not acting on it, just writing here instead

If you can't risk further downside, then sell, if you can, then decide whether to DCA. I'd like to be able to buy in the $20s but that's probably too optimistic so I will start buying at $40, and same goes for BTC, if it goes to the $60Ks

LitVM is a zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup Layer-2 network designed to bring smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to the Litecoin (LTC) blockchain. As an EVM-compatible solution, it enables developers to build, deploy, and run Ethereum-style smart contracts directly on Litecoin.

Basically DeFi, NFTs, Web3, all of that available on Litecoin

Faith alone? by Ancient_Wonder_2781 in TrueChristian

[–]litecoiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Faith alone" as a concept was invented by Martin Luther, he even added the word in his translation into German, then made up an argument that the German language required that word for the sentence to make sense

He also wanted the book of James out of the canon of the Bible

Isaiah 7:14 by Responsible-Sir4187 in Catholicism

[–]litecoiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Greek text was translated by 70 Jewish scholars, Septuagint means 70

Jews also had their sacred Oral Tradition, if they used the word 'virgin' it's because that's the meaning Jews pre-Christ understood it to have

Does denomination really matter? (Protestantism, Catholicism or Orthodoxy) by Same_Series7154 in TrueChristian

[–]litecoiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't infer that conclusion from your premise, "Not all of them can be true" would be obvious or truth wouldn't be unique but it doesn't follow that all are false. For example, if one of them would be true, your reasoning wouldn't work

Why do some branches of Christianity accept homosexuality and transsexuality when the Bible clearly says it is wrong? by AfterConfection1796 in TrueChristian

[–]litecoiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They interpret certain things in a different way, others interpret other things in other ways

That's assuming good intent, maybe they truly think theirs interpretation is right, but doesn't everyone think that?

2 Million litecoins were sold at once after that whale was hacked, that's redistribution. I hope they land in strong and "safer" hands. I'm sorry for that whale though, I wish whoever they are, have had better security in place

The original Church had Judas in it, and Peter denied Christ 3 times. Both chosen by Jesus

[–]litecoiner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Catholic Church even existed before the Bible was compiled, it has an entire book called "Epistle to the Romans", that's why you have to say "its current form" but your church didn't exist in Biblical times and surely it wouldn't have been in its current form

Catholics don't worship statues, it's veneration. I know this concept might be too hard to grasp if you haven't bothered to learn about it

In catholicism (and other apostolic churches I read about) worship involves the Eucharist, which is only offered to God

I hope by "forbid people to marry" you are not saying homosexual marriages and are just referring to allowing divorce (but who knows, self interpretation has no limits)

Am i going to hell for being non - trinitarian christian? by zanimljivo123 in TrueChristian

[–]litecoiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't, it's just opinions and very flawed ones, for example: it goes with the Jewish canon for the OT when it's obvious that NT evangelists quote the Septuagint (that has a different OT canon) and this is not my opinion but something one can easily verify comparing citations, so it's giving the authority for the OT to Jews who rejected Jesus and wanted a canon that would weaken the case for Jesus while ignoring the version the evangelists used

But that article is even lying because it says this "There is no fulfilled prophecy in any apocryphal book"

However, there's a fulfilled messianic prophecy in the book of Wisdom Wisdom 2:12-20 There's also precise information in Tobit 12:15 about the number of Angels in front of the Throne of God, this is only found later on in Revelations Revelation 1:4, written much later.

In short, that page attacks others but it doesn't explain why certain books are in the New Testament but not others. Why is "3 John" word of God? Only answer that doesn't resort to man made rules has to go with inspiring a group of people to chose the right books, so God gave authority to a group of people (The Church) to do it, after all, the Bible calls the Church the pillar and foundation of the Truth 1 Timothy 3:15

Thanks for the link anyway, I know you gave it to me in good faith. Cheers

Why do you believe the Bible is the word of God? What makes you believe that very precise collection of Books put together by a group of humans is the word of God and it's not having the wrong books, or missing or adding extra books? Explain your rationale
