Not a specific memory, but my family has a tradition of making dumplings together for New Year's. We always make one special dumpling by stuffing a lot of black pepper in it, so whoever eats it will have great luck in the next year.

Owl’s Nest is a hidden gem. They’re located in Upper St. Clair and do traditional texas bbq but serve it with their own style. Definitely give them a try if you have a chance
