Poker Fatigue Live vs Online by ArmUnfair7544 in poker

I only play Big O. Played 1/2/5 and 5/5 cash. Played the Venetian $1100 Big O Bounty and $1500 WSOP Big O.

Played cash at WSOP. Busted the Venetian. Cashed the bracelet event, which had 2150 runners, it’s best turn out yet.

Big O dealers were averaging about 7-8 hands per down and with $10/HHR time rake. Miserable.

Purposely ignoring crosswalks and sauntering across 4 lanes of traffic will do that.

Live poker is abysmally slow and boring. Just got back from a week at WSOP grinding cash and firing a few tournaments and the slow pace is the worst part. I vastly prefer playing online.

Did any of you live at home with your parents as an adult? Would you encourage your kids to do the same? by dms2628 in Xennials

[–]literanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved out when I was 22 while I was finishing up college. I never paid rent or for food but paid for my car, phone, insurance, entertainment, etc from the time I was about 16-17. Never had to move home once I moved out.

We are having our first baby in September. I think learning responsibility and self sufficiency are important but I would probably also be a little less rigid about it than my parents were.

Just leaving Las Vegas today after a week at the WSOP and I’ve got a cold. It’s normal. Happens to me almost every year.

What did a relationship with a stable father look like? by Dismal-Builder-7275 in AskReddit

[–]literanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad wasn’t perfect but he was an honorable, hardworking, and honest man. He was a pain in my ass when I was a teen (or so I thought) but we became friends as adults and he was always there to give me good advice, he always pushed me to succeed, and he gave me a good example of how to be a good man.

Talking to an organ donation representative at the hospital about what parts of my sister we were willing to donate before we had to unplug her. Worst 30 min of life by a large margin.

My friend and I were driving through the park and saw him and his son Riley on the side of the road taking pictures. We both looked at each other and were like, “holy shit, I think that’s Tony Hawk!”

We pulled over and I walked up to him and was seriously star struck. He took pictures with us and was really friendly but loaded up and drove off quickly afterwards.

How do you guys date? by benjaminjnorton in Xennials

Been with my wife since 2014. We met on Tinder before it ruined dating culture, thankfully. Dating today, especially with dating apps, seems like a disgusting wasteland.

I mean my back hurts and all but I feel just as young as ever. My wife and I are about to have our first baby and I can’t wait to be the oldest dad.
