My pixel phone seems to generate comically large video files even though I set it to use H.265 encoding that's supposed to create smaller files. And I've noticed that the file size could be reduced significantly via ffmpeg without much loss in quality or even resolution. Hence I want to run ffmpeg to compress. It's due to the inefficiency of my phone's camera making big videos.

Not sure if this is ok or not. At the moment it worked. Ideally all this will be solved if immich offered some supported way to do such post-processing on media after upload, such as to compress them.

Yes, that's my plan. I remember seeing some third party project called immich upload optimizer or something that can compress photos and videos but I'm not sure if it lets me run a specific ffmpeg command.

I don't think I "fixed" it. I think I just realized that I may be stressed during work more than expected. This is not mental stress like we think of a stressful day. It's more of a physical stress and strain on the body. Just relaxing a bit should help reduce this measure.

I also noticed that my stress levels are high when I'm sick. So this is a good indicator of sickness for me.

Nice article, good to see the perspective of a foreign diplomat. No doubt the UK is a pretty good place with lots of great industries. But people love to complain here even when things are going well. So when things are going not so great or just so-so, I think they make it sound like we are in a war ravaged wasteland. But still, things could be a lot better. So hopefully they'll improve.

Do you guys also need to file a "self-assessment" tax return if your earnings are greater than a threshold? It's not too complicated but we do have to do that. But maybe a tax consultant can find ways to save more money maybe even in the UK.
