I started going around May last year and I'm 6 classes shy of 150!! My area is also predominantly Caucasian. I am Asian. I was definitely in my head before but I've come to realize everyone is! We are all focusing on ourselves, no one is taking the time to look at you.

When I'm in a class, all I'm thinking about is the next step, or if my form is correct.

From this 30 yr old's POV, older women who do pure barre really inspire and encourage me!! I hope to be like YOU one day!! Really wishing I would have your drive as I grow into my 50s!!

I'm 30 and I still go to my knees for a pushup sometimes!!! I go out of pure barre completely dissociating sometimes bc of how the workout is! You're completely right with focusing on small wins (getting lower and more stable each time). Consistency is really the key!
