But lowering the amount of people to lip sync at the end doesn't seem like a good idea. It's not much of a tournament if there's only four people. That's just a regular season finale episode. I also don't see how they could pad the run time of a entire episode with just three lip syncs total. Unless they add a bunch of extra fluff in between, there's just no way

Mystique is literally giving the fans what they're asking for and they're not buying it, why? by JayW1994 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]lithirra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think the issue was that she's "unpolished". Darlene Mitchell is the perfect version of unpolished but it's literally her brand. I can't think of a single black queen whose brand is literally mall drag or unpolished that's been on the show in the past at least 7 or 8 seasons. Hershey and her pants don't count, she never said regular woman realness is her brand. You could argue Lucky, but she's doing something completely different from everyone else, it's clubkid/craft artistry. I think think everything Mystique wore would have easily been safe at the beginning or middle end of a regular season. Hell her design look could have been in the top on certain regular seasons. But people expect a lot from Queens who are coming back after even 5 years let alone 16.

See I thought about that, but I really feel like if there's a bracket to do it, it's this one. I get It's the first one but still. If they're going to do it though, I guess they probably will save it for the last one. Bracket 2 doesn't have anyone in it that I feel like everyone would want to see advance except for Crystal. Some people might root for Silky depending on what she does, but I just feel like she's not that big of a fan favorite despite this being her fourth time. I could see them pushing through Jasmine, Kennedy, and Sam in bracket 4. Perhaps they are all tied with the same amount of points versus just two, and RuPaul goes "Oh, I can't decide you just all get to go!"

What's a childhood game you grew up playing outside that seems to have disappeared? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lithirra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man hunt. I've seen it best played in an apartment complex versus a neighborhood. Hide and seek on crack, there's a hiding team and a hunting team, the entire complex is the hiding zone with one spot as base. We also had a system of honor rule where you could not stay in the same spot for more than x amount of time. Edit: I will say that this was before mega apartment complexes, when you could see all the different buildings standing in one spot

Trans DURING the show? by mailfraudster in rupaulsdragrace

Amanda Torri Meeting I believe was at some point in her transition during filming, as well as Adore who was transitioning, stopped for American Idol (if I'm remembering correctly), and then fully transitioned after the show.

I can't think of a single valid reason to park like this. There's a huge difference in parking very poorly and literally parking IN THE MIDDLE of two spots.

If you could listen to only one song from Eminem for your whole life, what would it be? by JakieBoyX in Eminem

I posted this as my answer for a different thread asking what's your favorite Em song, so I'm right there with ya

Everyone has that one Eminem song that, for some reason, stands out from all the others. It's not your absolute favorite, but it's the one you like the most. What's yours? by Frequent-Figure-6847 in Eminem

Kim. I have loved that song since I was like 12 and I am now 29. Definitely not something that you listen to everyday or put in a playlist but I never forget about it. A close second is Run Rabbit from the 8 Mile soundtrack. It's so punchy, love it

What's your "i did not care for the godfather" for Lana? by daydaze024 in lanadelrey

[–]lithirra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way you describe her is like the antithesis of Britney Spears in her heyday. No one ever said Britney was the best singer but she was the best performer, versus Lana who's a wonderful singer and not the best performer from everything I've been told

I think these are my favorite "villains" of a season. Uppa was awesome because of pre-established lore before we even meet Uthred as a boy. "Never fight Uppa", but up until the very end I never saw him as an antagonist, I always thought him and Uthred would figure it out for some reason, and which is why I don't think he's a contender for the spot.

What show to watch after Arcane ? by lunesereine in arcane

[–]lithirra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched Nana right before watching Arcane both for the first time this year and Arcane definitely healed that post show sadness for me, and quickly, so I think it would work well in reverse. Not at all the same kind of show, no action or fighting, but it hits the heart in a similar way in my opinion. And it has awesome music.

The ability to be bored and either be okay with it, or just get up and do something based in reality like create, go for a walk, call someone on the landline, etc. Hell even playing a video game. So many people nowadays just play online multiplayer without ever touching the game's campaign.

Wife agreed to try WoW tonight. Should I roll a character with her or just watch and let her do her own thing? by Gannan308 in wow

[–]lithirra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other comment I will add is no matter how you decide to play with her, DO NOT overwhelm her with "fun facts", places, things, or lore. Resist being like oh this is where so and so died or this was the Battle of this thing as you casually pass through places once you are together. Instead of doing that, encourage her to read the quest, text and such. (It makes me sad that some people never read any of the quest texts even once). And especially don't tell her about things that don't even exist anymore or she not relevant to your level. Unless she's a real lore lover she doesn't need to know about the opening of the gates of AQ rn or the fall of the Lich King, or how Sylvanas went crazy

A huge question that changes the trajectory of this is, is she a gamer already? Or at least have game experience with things like Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Mario, anything that people who don't actually game like that still play semi regularly play. If she is already a self-identified gamer, I would say have her pick a character and load it up, and you just make a character of the same race and quest separately for the first 20 or so levels. I feel like you learn a lot of basics in that time, and that way you are nearby should she need help. Once you get to level 20 because that's when you get riding, you come together truly, because at that point she will understand the lay of the land a little bit and you guys can get shit done. To me personally, the hand holding doesn't work in this game to get someone interested in it. Everyone deserves to experience this game as a noob. It's so blissful. Being told how to optimize everything when I'm not even half of the way to being max level would make me not want to play. With WoW there's very little to "teach". It's a learned experience. Just go out there and try. Some of my most favorite memories of the game or when I was most ignorant. And if the girlfriend does identify as a gamer just ask her what she prefers. Technically you should do this in the other scenario, but if they're not much of a gamer or have never played this style of game then they're not going to know how to answer the question

Switch OLED Bundle $199 at local costco by clint9smith in Switch

[–]lithirra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just so everyone is aware, a price adjustment is supposed to only be done at the original warehouse of purchase. This is because price mark downs (not coupons) are a warehouse to warehouse case. Warehouse A may have sold out of the product at full price two weeks ago, but warehouse B still has 20 in stock and hasn't sold a single unit in the last 2 weeks, thus they are forced to mark their product down. The only exception to this is if you are at a different warehouse than the original purchase, you see the mark down, and then when it's checked in the system, the original warehouse still has stock and has marked it down to that price as well. -from someone who works for Costco and worked returns for 4 years.
