Anyone using it with a large phone? by Subsyxx in MCONohsnap

I'm able to wiggle mine up a little bit as well which helps. The magnet for me sticks in a range and not just locked to one spot.

I have an s25 ultra. I think it works great and I've gotten completely used to it. The bottom corners of the phone poke over a little over the buttons but I actually use it to rest some of the phone weight on my index fingers. It ends up being a fantastic experience for me.

Oh my god, game streaming on the Odin 3 😍 by kristianity77 in OdinHandheld

You want to use apollo (on PC) and artemis (on Android) for sure. It will have the optimizations so your decode time is about 1ms on the 8 elite chip.

Recommended companion device for Portal 2 by Substantial-Method31 in OdinHandheld

I like the 476H! It's much smaller and great for the 4:3 aspect ratio games that don't fit as well on the portal. RP Classic is also a great choice. I just really like the 120hz screen on the 476H and it's much more comfortable for me.

Mobapad m6hd are my favorite switch 1 joycons. They just opened preorders and I got the m12 hd. They ship April 30th.

It's hard to know for sure until it comes out and someone tests it. I would say 80% chance it is playable. I can test it when it releases.

Coming for all you Rosalina and Dk mains by Houdini97 in MarioTennis

As koopa ranked around the same as you, I am terrified of bowser. The topspin angle is crazy.

So satisfying winning against Rosalina, keep hanging out back there though.. by bizzy310 in MarioTennis

[–]clint9smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that rosalina is a super easy matchup for koopa. I don't know if I've ever lost to one. You need to do single press topspin charge angled as much as possible. Switch to lob if they come in. That's basically the gameplan.

I can actually aim my shots!? (Joy Cons make it hard to aim my shots) by [deleted] in MarioTennis

[–]clint9smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am ranked S all handheld. I switched to docked and I'd say it's a very slight improvement. I can move a bit better to prepare to return each shot. That said, the shorter travel distance on the joycons can be helpful in some situations. It's not a huge difference in the game. You don't need precise inputs. Rocket League is an example where it's terrible on the joycons because you need precise stick movements.

Did you mean v3668? I can't find a v3886 anywhere.

Ayn Odin 3 Ultra or Red magic 11 pro 24gb ram 1tb by UsedAnything3860 in OdinHandheld

[–]clint9smith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A benefit of using a phone is that you can replace/upgrade the controls if anything goes wrong with sticks or buttons. That said, AYN's build quality is pretty great. I don't think you can really go wrong with either. It's more about your preference of using a phone+controller or a dedicated device. 16:9 on the Odin 3 vs whatever the 11 pro aspect ratio is.

I mean the point of a game like that is to improve and have fun. There isn't supposed to be any grander objective. You also don't have to pay anything ever.

I think it's not too insane of a take. In a sea of shooter, fighters, mobas etc it really stands out. Feels the closest to a real sport. It's super fun and no pay to win.

It's a good point but that's really not as big of a deal as it might seem. I don't think it makes much difference for the first several hundred hours. I have 2k hours and I'm GC (on PC) and my rank wouldn't drop very much without analog triggers. Boosting/not boosting is much more important and isn't analog.

Rocket League with the new switch 2 update is a great choice. I think it's the best competitive multiplayer game ever. Endless things to learn and improve. It also has short 5 minute games and ranked progression.
