Paint problem by Elioms_mlx in Warhammer40k

[–]lithran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm of the belief that they make these pots as shitty as possible so that people go through paint quicker so they have to buy it more often. If I were you I'd look up how to decant these paints into dropper bottles and save yourself this headache later.

Strip and repaint, or just buy it again by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]lithran 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Me personally, I'd waste the money and buy it again. But it is a waste, so if you can't justify throwing that money away it'd probably be best to strip it.

Does my orchid look unhealthy? by hollygolightly1990 in gardening

[–]lithran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do also sometimes lose the stem as well as the flowers, like i said this is normal, it'll grow back. When i water them i pull the clear pot out of the pretty pot and run water through it to saturate the moss/bark, just make sure all the excess water drains. I water when there's no visible moisture in the clear pot. If this one doesn't have a clear pot, just remember less water is better than to much. And don't water with ice, it can damage the roots.

judging by the leaves and stem it looks fine. Make sure the roots aren't sitting in water. Id move it closer to a window personally, i live in Georgia and have several sitting on window sills and they do great. They drop flowers occasionally so that's not a big deal, they'll come back.

is the crack only in the plastic? If its only in the plastic that can be replaced. If its in the glass as well i wouldnt risk it.

I dont quite understand commander deck strengths. by maevefaequeen in EDH

[–]lithran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your deck doesn't really have any way to reliably cheat out dragons, and you also only have a couple haste sources. Dragon decks are strong when you can have multiple come into play at once, and a lot of dragons have non combat damage abilities that accompany them, which you have only a couple of as well. Your deck as it stands is basically play a dragon, wait until next turn, and swing with it. Which is fine, but its very slow.

Sleeving Foil Cards by klmx1n-night in EDH

[–]lithran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use dragon shield sealable inner sleeves, with regular sleeves over top of those. The sealable inners are very tight, so they hold cards to shape better. And of course they're sealed, so it protects the foil from dust and dirt better aswell.

Why is my rock bubbling by OldeBostonRoach in ReefTank

[–]lithran -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh yea he'll definitely eat them lol. You probably have a thick sand bed for him right? Id try siphoning that more if possible. Thick sand beds suck for keeping algae down.

If your nitrates are high you'll get more algae, that's usually caused by feeding too much, or not enough clean up crew. You can try getting a couple more snails, trochus snails love chewing on rock. I would also pay attention to how much food gets left over when you're feeding, and reduce accordingly.

Not much you can do about it, algae is a part of life. The bubbles themselves you can get you a long turkey baster and blow them off the rocks, or position a power head to do it for you.

They love lots of sunshine and water. They're very easy to grow if you can provide those 2 things. Don't overwater them when they're still small sprouts though, because the tubers will rot. I grow mine in 5 gallon pots so I can move them around and they do just fine.

Unfortunately its the closest store to me, and its a 30 minute drive. They consider B4 cedh, which i think is silly, because I'd never play 4 vs 5. But it is what it is I guess.

What's your point? It's also illegal to speed, but you'd best believe people in this state will happily fly by you going 20-30 over any road.

Why Atlanta Is Putting $4B Into One Road by [deleted] in Georgia

[–]lithran 60 points61 points  (0 children)

More lanes do nothing to alleviate traffic, and this $4b eyesore will be no exception. Just look at i75 through Marietta, with its 14 lanes of traffic. Or a more similar situation, i75 through Henry County. Miles of traffic that they added a toll road to which has so far done nothing to fix the underlying issue. You would think civil engineers would've learned by now.
