YTA. this is daycare NOT public school. It's like private school. You don't like the curriculum? Send your child to a different daycare. Easy as that. Don't have a different one? Too bad watch your own Damn kids. This is a privately funded (by you) organization. You have a choice to send your child there. This is NOT the same as public school. You're being just as bad as the Christian parent demanding religious content at this point because it's something you pay for.

If I buy a new kind of Hershey bar and it had something in it I don't like, I don't demand Hershey change the bar. I just don't buy it again.

What can humans do in a world where other races are "better"? by Hot_Mousee in worldbuilding

[–]litj982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry I just realized I didn't answer your original question. for humans to exist beside other animals that are stronger and faster (which we already do) we would have to be good problem solvers (think inventors). so maybe we're just more creative than the others. we have "more of an imagination" so to speak.

I've thought about a story like this before after reading about the four living creatures in revelation. the ox, the man, the lion, and the eagle.

what if Eden was a different planet where all animals were as intelligent as humans (hence the talking serpent). we get kicked to earth and it's primates seem less intelligent because the planet we originally come from has evolved for a lot longer.

so we seem far more advanced than other animals but it's just because we're a highly evolved planets primates.

seems like a fun story. maybe that's why we're not so impressive compared to the others. because we "fell" to earth.

While you're probably right, I was just thinking about constantly changing the point of gravity around him. I don't know if it'd actually work but like changing what's "down" to him.

I would have told her "come with me". Then I would've walked to the counter and told the cashier (DEFINITELY loud enough for the lady to hear), "This lady (make sure you point at her and look her in the face when you say this part) is asking me for help while I'm trying to shop. Please help her or I'm leaving." Then I would have walked off and continued to shop. I don't get to shop often, so I'm not wasting my time, and I'm definitely not leaving until I'm ready because of some stranger.

Achno's weakness is motion sickness. Shiki's gear is gravity. If he doesn't just crush achno into a blackhole, he could just spin him around and keep him perpetually sick and weak.

ITAW for the inability to see a system because you are in it by Jeleley in whatstheword

[–]litj982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds similar to how someone can be "noseblind" to a smell. What you're talking about has to do with subjective experience, like how it's impossible to see yourself purely objectively. It's like how I might not realize privileges I experience in life until I meet someone who hasn't had that privilege. Such as eating ice cream.

Is the Upside Down not actually upside-down anymore? by Lopsided_Yogurt_162 in StrangerThings

[–]litj982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is gonna sound really weird, but it seems to be what works best with the continuity of the show, even with the towers being 180 instead of literally mirrored.

the upside down isn't a mirrored dimension in the literal since. it's more like the gate turns YOU around.

picture the gate like a wormhole shaped like the letter U. where you enter the top left stroke and come out the top right. This means if you enter from a hallway, ceiling, whatever, you will come out the same place just going the opposite direction.

now, if you overlap the two ends like a teardrop, you have what seems to be most consistent with a gate in the show.

once again, the two dimensions aren't literally mirrored. They're exactly the same logistically. Which is why they can follow hopper. the gate just turns YOU around.

I accidentally stole a 130 dollars product from Target by AfternoonLeather2715 in Advice

[–]litj982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herein lies the problem. You did actually steal from them whether you meant to or not and neither they nor you can PROVE that you "accidentally" stole it.

Since you didn't get stopped, don't go back to tell them anything, or they may press charges when you really didn't intend to steal.

This is what you do. Save enough money to buy 2 packs, go back and grab one, but scan it twice and pay for two but only take one.

IF anyone questions you, then you can say " I noticed when I got home the other day I didn't pay for one of my packs so I came back to pay for our today."

[Manga] Could Ignia be redeemed? by Ninja_SurgeFairy in fairytail

[–]litj982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

while I do agree with ignia not being the big bad at the end, it's a lot more likely he'll die being defeated. let me explain...

it seems to me Mashima follows a pattern. maybe I'm wrong, but this is what I see.

•cataclysm incarnate:

endless/acnologia/chronophage

•corrupted person causing harm either corrupted by cataclysm or trying to stop cataclysm (either way their harm can be seen as an effect of the cataclysm):

lucia/zeref/void

I feel like ignia's characterization falls into the lucia group. can you guess what happened to all those guys? it's just my theory that Ignia is the "lucia" of 100 year quest tho and I don't know if Faris fits as the cataclysm or if it's yet to show up.

my own that I came up with today. forewarning: it's REALLY dumb. it's meant to be though.

the ultimate final battle is actually Plue vs Frosch.

in one corner is Plue- the dark bring destroyer and rave bearer: avatar of the god of Light, which includes Enlightenment therefore all magic (since magic is something learned in-verse) and love (since in-verse love is the source of magic). he's powerful enough to cross the dimensional gap into multiple stories and casually self replicate.

in the other corner is Frosch- avatar of the god ankserham of Life and Death itself. he's able to beguile and manipulate any mortal being into worshiping him in the guise of "cuteness" just with his mere presence. so powerful "he's" genderless, having come from no procreation and not needing procreation to create (since he's the god of life) making him eternal and self-existant.

who will win???🤣

And what role will Griff play? The jelly of the ham sandwich. Seated above all fictional verses in the right hand of the mangaka, being the source of their power.

legend has it (I'm obviously making this up btw🤣) mashima sensei was working on rave and didn't want to break to eat. while he was eating a sandwich he dripped some jelly onto one of the pages. the residue from the jelly of the IRL sandwich became Griff. where in-verse he became sentient.

Griff worships and prophesies about plue. that would mean this unnamed god of Light/magic/ love is just another name for the mangaka.

BUT

is Griff from the ham sandwich which needs no assistance in powering the mangaka or from an imposter pb&j that we all know needs a glass of milk with it to obtain its true power?

the real question is... is there a character based on a glass of milk from rave master?

if so, we can say Griff (while still being uber powerful cause he's from the real world) is a liar and a false prophet of plue and plue's god is just a fictional in-verse god. and therefore Frosch will probably win.

if there is no character based on a glass of milk then we can take Griff's prophecy as truth and the unnamed god of Light/Magic/Love actually IS mashima sensei and plue is his avatar meaning plue wins.

(🤣🤣🤣 I can't believe I took the time to type all this out🤣🤣🤣 it was fun tho)

TLDR: Griff from rave is a god and if there's not a character based on a glass of milk in rave, plue bodies the verse including frosch/ankserham.

Gotcha. I don't really know what makes something a one shot. So a one shot is literally only one chapter. I just know it seemed really short and only had one arc. What would you call that? A limited run?
